Barbie has had more than 150 careers in her more than 50 years, but she has never been a superhero until now.
Barbie transforms into a pink and sparkly superhero in Barbie™ in Princess Power.
My Little One and I have had the chance to watch Barbie™ in Princess Power quite a few times already and we love it. There is everything that you would expect in a Barbie movie. From the wonderful superhero costume, to the helping hand, Barbie is definitely a super, superhero.
I loved the underlying messages within the movie of teamwork, not being jealous, being kind, and helping others. The messages are intertwined within the excitement of the movie and are set to inspire children to be and do their best.
The sneak peak above shows that Barbie™ in Princess Power has all the colorful and intriguing characters that you would expect in a Barbie movie.
Some of our favorite parts were as follows:
*The cute butterfly that gives Barbie her superpowers.
*The friends and when they go through the checklist of superpowers with Barbie.
*Barbie saving the day and believing in herself.
I could go on and on as simply put, my Little One loved seeing Barbie as a superhero.
Here is more details about Barbie™ in Princess Power and how Barbie inspires young children to be all that they can be………
BARBIE TAKES FLIGHT AS THE WORLD’S NEWEST SUPERHERO, INSPIRING FANS TO “BE SUPER”
New Empowering Theme Shows Children that Anything is Possible! For the first time in her 56-year history, Barbie™ is putting on a cape and mask and transforming into a modern-day superhero. 2015 is the year to #BeSuper, and Barbie™ is inviting Canadian girls to tap into their inner superhero by celebrating their own acts of “being super”.
This Spring, Barbie™ is launching superhero-themed toys, a DVD, books, role play, and more, as a way to inspire girls to creatively express what “super” means to them through play. The superhero theme supports the 2015 #BeSuper campaign, which is designed to celebrate girl empowerment in a way that only Barbie™ can.
“Be Super seeks to encourage and celebrate all the everyday acts of super that Canadian kids are doing, both big and small,” says Lu Huang, Sr. Marketing Associate, Mattel Canada. “Whether it’s helping out at home or getting involved in the community, kids are doing extraordinary things every day. It’s about celebrating simple, daily acts and recognizing the superhero in all of us.”
Celebrate “Be Super”: Join The Barbie™ Super Squad
To celebrate “being super,” Barbie™ fans can visit an all-new digital destination, www.BeSuper.com, where they can join the Barbie™ Super Squad and engage, create, imagine, and share their own “super” stories. Fans can download their official Super Squad Member Certificate and Handbook, filled with activities and tips on how to “Be Super”, and participate in fun monthly Super Missions. They can download collectible Mission Badges for every mission completed, and win super prizes for sharing how they completed each month’s mission.
Site visitors can also create their very own superhero comic strip with the first-ever Barbie™ Comic Maker game. Simple, easy-to-follow click-throughs will help kids create their own avatar, their own superhero story line, and choose from pre-loaded images and visuals to bring their story to life.
Meet Canada’s Barbie™ Super Squad Leaders!Every super team needs inspirational leaders to rally the troops, and the Barbie™ Super Squad is no exception. Four Canadian girls who are all doing super things in their communities were invited to act as ambassadors for the Super Squad, and share their stories to inspire kids from across Canada. Their profiles and stories are featured on www.BeSuper.com to show other children how simple acts and ideas can have a large impact. The Super Squad Leaders will receive a combined $15,000 to support their causes to help continue their incredible work.
