MomMomOnThego and crew headed out to one of our favorite things to do, FlyOver Canada. We especially love going to FlyOver Canada at Christmas time. It has become a yearly tradition to make sure we see FlyOver Canada Christmas Edition.
We never get tired of going to see FlyOver Canada. The adults enjoy it each time we go and the kids can seriously never get enough of it.
Last Christmas we were pretty impressed with the nice additions that were done to the FlyOver Canada show so that it had a Christmas flare to it. This year, we all agreed that FlyOver Canada outdid themselves. We all left the show smiling and having loved it.
The show commences as usual with a pre show in the viewing room that you are brought into. Before the pre show commences, they allow for a few minutes to take photos as the display inside is beautiful.
The pre show this time is very different as it is Santa Claus who is letting you know his dilemma that you need to help him out with. Santa’s elves are being silly and are throughout Canada enjoying themselves instead of manning the toy workshop and finishing the toys for Christmas. Santa asks that everyone keep an eye out for his elves and if you do, that there will be a special surprise at the end.
At the end of the pre show, snow flies from the ceiling to everyone’s delight. As the snow falls, you move toward the area where you are assigned your rows for seating for the main attraction, FlyOver Canada.
When everyone is standing on their assigned spot, the safety information is gone over on a viewing screen by Mrs. Claus. Once the safety information is complete you proceed to the FlyOver Canada deck and seating.
Once you have stored all your loose items in the under the seat storage, and are buckled in, the show is ready to commence.
The lights dim and it is completely dark at the commencement of the show as the seats that you are sitting in move forward towards the large screen where you will see and feel like you are truly flying over Canada.
When the lights come on, the screen is full of clouds and you truly feel that you are flying a midst them. From that point on, the show before you only gets better and better. The show is a 4D show, so you feel mist on your face and smell wonderful smells as you go through various scenes across Canada.
Okay spoiler alert……..
The show has an awesomely spectacular special treat at the end. You get to fly over the North Pole and Santa’s village. I have to tell you that my Little One was so ecstatic to be seeing Santa’s village. Us adults really thought that the Santa’s village touch was pretty awesome as well.
We all left FlyOver Canada in the holiday spirit and with a green from ear to ear. FlyOver Canada is a must see and do Christmas event in Vancouver.
When you are not in the venue itself, watching the show, you can enjoy wonderful treats from their mini cafe. Always fun to see is the ice sculpture that they have during the Christmas FlyOver Canada event.
If you want to get in the festive spirit and have a wonderful experience, I highly recommend that you go see FlyOver Canada. You can purchase your tickets online at the FlyOver Canada website.
