One thing that my Little One has always loved to do over the years is arts and crafts. She loves making things like crazy. I love seeing her make things because it taps into her creativity side and allows for her to express herself through her creations. One product that really allows her to show her creative and expressive side, is Gel-a-Peel.
I have reviewed Gel-a-Peel before and you can check out my first ever review of this product here. I do have a few more tips for using this product now and will share them with you as we go through their newest products.
To get you more familiar with what Gel-a-Peel is, check out this video…..
Okay anyone with a little arts and crafts fanatic, you know right now from that video that they are going to love this product! The question is, which one(s) do you start out with first. 🙂
The product in the video is featuring the new Gel-a-Peel Sparkle Bead Craft Kit Station. I think this is an amazing product. Not only does it allow your little artist to create, but it allows them to design as well. Additionally, it taps into the fashion side of things with creating wearable items. Even more, little fashion designers can create the ever so popular friendship bracelets for their BFF.

We have learned a few things since our first review for some tips and tricks to make your Gel-a-Peel experience awesome.
*Put something down under the craft area so it is easy to wipe and clean up.
*The gel is sticky so have a damp cloth close to your little artist to wipe their hands as they create.
*Wipe the outside of the tubes down after as your little artist probably got them all sticky.
*Encourage your artist to wait the drying times. The creation needs to be dry to work with it so it does not break.
*Store the tubes with the air out and cap on so the gel inside does not dry out.
*After use, just let the gel in the tube designer tips dry as once it is dry it is easy to pluck out with a toothpick.
*For creation stations, wipe them down after use so it minimizes stickiness and gel build up.
*Tape the edges of the template down so that you have it as flat as possible for tracing.
The above photo you can see that my Little One has the edges of the template taped down so it stays put and flat for tracing. The one thing not done is something under the template to make clean up easier. When she does Gel-a-Peel like this, I need to clean the floor where she was after.
The great thing is that as you purchase additional creation stations or kits, it just expands the options and combinations for making things.
My Little One who is 10 loves Gel-a-Peel. She has used it since she was nine and I agree with the age recommendation that the product is for artists eight and older.
I have been to our local Chapters and Toys R US and the products are on the shelves there with quite a bit of a selection. If you want to fin out more about Gel-a-Peel and the line up of the products, you can visit them here…..
