Max & Ruby bring to life a wonderful tradition this holiday season as they take to the stage their most magical performance yet! Inspired by one of the greatest musical scores ever composed – Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker Suite – the beloved bunny siblings star in Koba Entertainment’s brand new musical production Max & Ruby in the Nutcracker Suite.
It’s a glistening snowy winter evening and Max & Ruby have been anxiously waiting for the most spectacular event of the year: seeing The Nutcracker ballet with Grandma. Imagine their disappointment when a snow storm keeps them at home!
A story of The Nutcracker will have to do! So vivid is Grandma’s storytelling that the characters in the ballet come to life right before their very eyes!
Max & Ruby marvel at the sight of many enchanting guests, including a Spanish bullfighter, the Sugar Plum Fairy and the Nutcracker Prince. Ruby is eager to participate in their exquisite dance, but it’s Max who steals the show! Whether it was the sweets, or their lively imaginations, Max & Ruby head off to bed with visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads!
My family absolutely loved the Max & Ruby in the Nutcracker Suite show. The show was extremely entertaining and had my little one mesmerized from start to finish.
The adults in our family loved seeing the different dancers. After the show, it wasn’t just our little one talking about our favorite parts of the show and our favorite dances we got to see.
I always find that one test to determine if a show is awesome is if it seemed long! I am sure you can relate…..Think to a time where you were wondering how long until the show was over. I can assure you that the show did not seem long and drawn out. If anything, it seemed like in the blink of an eye the show was over because of how much we were enjoying it.
We saw the show at the Surrey Bell Center and I love that Venue. I do not think you could find a bad seat in the house. We like being high up and were seated in the back row. The back row is my little one’s favorite seats as she can see over everyone’s head and it is easier for her to see the entire stage. The Bell theater is a smaller venue though so when I say we were in the back row, it is not very far back at all. We were about 22 rows from the stage.
I have seen some comments about the cost of the show being expensive. I personally do not think that the tickets are too expensive. The VIP tickets with the meet and greet are a lot more, but if you are buying a standard ticket the highest priced ticket is in the $30 range which is realistically not much more than going to the movies these days and you get to see a live performance. If you sign up for the Koba Entertainment Newsletter you will also be in the know on all the Presale Show Codes for a little extra savings on their shows.
On a more personal note to families at shows…..please respect everyone else in the audience that is trying to enjoy the show and turn off your phones and do not take pictures with flashes. Thank You!
This was the first time we saw Max & Ruby live and we would see them again the next time they were on tour. It was a really great show. Max & Ruby are still on tour and going across Canada and making some stops in the US. To see the tour schedule make sure to check out their Official Tour Website.
