When I came across Polar Seal I knew I needed to check it out. Polar Seal is wearable technology that heats up to keep key upper body areas warm.
With two controls on your sleeve, you control the temperature and zones to help keep your upper body warm.
WARMTH ON DEMAND
Integrating ultra-thin, flexible, and patented warming elements, POLAR SEAL heats you up in 10 seconds.Choose from 2 heating zones and 3 heating levels from the rubber, LED lit, shock and waterproof buttons on your wrist.
HEATING TECHNOLOGY
Based on a similar technology to that used in fighter jet pilot jackets, all our garments are designed with two integrated heating elements, one for the upper back and one for the lower back.
Our heating elements are ultra thin and flexible, creating a highly durable garment maintaining flexibility and breathability which makes them ideal for sports. Polar Seal garments can also be washed.
Users can choose from 3 heating levels:
Warming Low
Warming Medium
Warming High
Polar Seal comes in a Women’s and Men’s collection.
The Men’s Collection comes in sizes S to XXL and in jet black, alpine blue, and Heather grey.
The Women’s Collection comes in sizes XS to XL and in jet black, alpine blue, Heather grey, and fuschia pink.

I found that the Polar Seal fits true to size. It is a thin layer that I find works most effectively with something worn on top of it to help keep the heat that it is generating.
As explained above, you can customize where you want the heat with the push of the button with the seal on it. You can choose lower back only, upper back only, or both areas on. With the other button, you control the heat level from low, medium, or high.
My favorite setting is the dual zone on high. I love the warmth it generates. Of course, the setting you choose is going to be dependent on the level of activity that you are engaging in and the temperature of the environment. What is great is that you can change it quickly at the push of an easily accessible button on your sleeve.
There are a number of things to note about Polar Seal…
It runs on a battery pack that is not included. Polar Seal requires a minimum of 5000 mAH battery pack. It plugs into the cable in the pocket. There is a cap for the USB cable that you need to remember to put on when the shirt is not plugged into a battery pack.
We have a ton of battery packs around our house as we use them for power on the go for our cell phones. If you are in need of a battery pack, they are easily found at any of your local technology stores. Just make sure you purchase the minimum 5000 mAH. The bigger the battery pack you have the longer your shirt will run for.
I also recommend that you do not get too big of a battery pack as you will be carrying it around in your pocket of the shirt. I tested the shirt out with a smaller sized 5000 mAH and with that size of power bank, I did not find it bothersome at all in my pocket.
How long your battery pack lasts depends on a number of things such as the size of your battery pack and what settings you put your wearable heat technology on. If you run it on the dual zone and high, the battery pack you use will not last as long as on single zone and low. The range of running time is anywhere from 4 to 8 hours which is consistent with what I found on testing it out. The Polar Seal also has two pockets so you can have a backup power bank in the other pocket to swap with once the initial battery pack/power bank is done. 🙂
The Polar Seal shirt needs to be hand washed and hung to dry. You have to make sure your shirt is dry before using it again.
Prior to washing your Polar Seal, you have to ensure that the protective cap is over the USB connector in the pocket. This is very important in order to ensure that you do not get water into the connector.
Overall the Polar Seal is warm, comfortable, a great fit, and easy to use. I love my Polar Seal. I found that my package arrived quite quickly once the Polar Seal shirts were back in stock. Polar Seal also has FREE worldwide shipping.
