The Learning Resources Primary Science Magnet Set has won the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Best Toy Gold Seal Award (2012). Educator, parent & kid testing goes into each product considered for an Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Award. They don’t accept ads or charge “review fees” from manufacturers or publishers, so you know you’re always getting independent opinions.

The Primary Science Magnet Set is fun, durable, sturdy and educational. My little one who is 5 and soon to start kindergarten, is now talking about polarization and north and south poles. My little one was not only excited to play with the Primary Science Magnet Set and she returns to it time and time again to play with it.

There are a lot of different activities and games that you can play with the Primary Science Magnet Set. With this magnet set and all the different pieces that comes with it, you are really only limited by your imagination.

The Primary Science Magnet Set is recommended for ages 4 to 12 years old. I agree with the age ranking on this product as both our 5 year old and our 10 year old enjoy playing with this product. I do think that a younger crown would be interested in the magnet set, but it would have to be used with adult supervision due to chocking hazards.

The Primary Science Magnet Set provides a fun way to get those little minds learning and exploring about magnets and how they work. We all know that most kids love magnets and this taps right into their love for magnets and exploring. In our house, this is a toy that is brought out regularly to explore and play with.

I love educational toys and companies like Learning Resources that produces great, quality educational toys.
