Qixels is a new creative activity set that inspires kids to use their imagination with cubes that fuse together with a blast of water to create an 8-bit world of monsters, warriors, ninjas and more, all while stepping away from screens.
The line offers the Fuse Blaster for cool spraying action and several different theme packs that allow kids to create entire pixelated worlds!
My Little One loves arts and crafts. I love arts and crafts that are easy to clean up. So when I came across Qixels I was pretty excited and I new my Little One would be as well.
We have the Qixels – Fuse Blaster set that comes with the fuse blaster gun that you fill with water to spray the cubes with so they fuse together as they dry. The set also comes with designs that you can follow to make robots and more. Or your little one can use their imagination to create their own creatures and characters.
The Fuse Blaster set also comes with stands so that the creations can be stood up to display and also to finish drying.
The sets come with a good number of little Qixels cubes to make your characters. Other than the cubes, all that is needed is water. Once the character is made, just 10 shorts sprays and about 30 minutes later, and your character is dry. Shake off any excess water after spraying so that drying time is around the 30 minute mark.
Once the 30 minute drying time has passed, I recommend displaying the character in the stands provided to finish up the last little bit of drying for any damp areas. Do not place it on a towel to dry or it will stick to the towel if still damp.
Here is my Little One’s first ever Qixels creation…
I have her creation beside the pattern so you can see what the pattern looks like. It is color coded so that little ones just need to put the correct colored cube if they wish to follow the design.
My Little One is 8 and she loved using Qixels. She had absolutely no problem doing her Qixels’ creations on her own. It was mess free and easy to clean up which made me a really happy mom.
My Little One said she would love to see a Qixels set with pink, purple, white, and other more girlie colors with stencils of cats, dogs, butterflies, penguins, princesses, mermaids, dolphins, and such. I agree that I would love to see a few girl Qixel sets.
If you have a little one that likes arts and crafts, then I highly recommend checking out the mess free Qixels sets.
