On June 2nd, I told you about RapidLash. I was so excited to try out RapidLash.
First of all, what is RapidLash?
As the first mass serum to hit the market in 2008, RapidLash® Eyelash and Eyebrow Enhancing Serum is a clinically-proven, paraben-free serum that helps improve the overall appearance and condition of your lashes and brows. This innovative formula features Hexatein1 Complex, a proprietary mix of six highly effective ingredients: Polypeptides, Biotin, Panthenol, Amino Acids, Soybean Oil and Pumpkin Seed Extract.
So I have to report that I had an allergic reaction to RapidLash so I was not able to use it beyond a week. I asked the company representative about allergies to their product and found out the following…
Reactions are not common at all (less than 1%). But, there are a number of plant ingredients in the product and it sounds like you may be having a reaction to one of the ingredients.
I do have some environmental allergies so I was likely reacting the the plant based ingredients in RapidLash. I had to discontinue use after only a week. In that one week time, I did not notice any change to my lashes, but then the company does state that it usually takes about 4 weeks to start to see any improvements.
So I turned to one of my correspondents to test the product out. She wears contacts so for those that wear contacts and yes, you can use the product. You put RapidLash on before bed each night so my correspondent had her contacts out prior to putting the product on her lashes.
My correspondent did get a chance to use RapidLash for about 4 weeks. She reported a tingling sensation that she felt upon putting the product on each night. When I was using RapidLash, I felt a tingling sensation as well. I wondered if it was due to my allergy to the product, but my correspondent did not have any allergies to the product and experienced mild tingling as well.
RapidLash does address the issue of a tingling sensation on their Q&A page. Tingling is something that can be felt upon application with some people. It is reported as only mild and that is what I experiences, was a mild tingling that disappeared after a few minutes.
I have checked out my correspondent’s eyelashes before and after using RapidLash and I have a photo to share the results.
Her lashes in person do appear darker and a little more full. I am assuming that her lashes appear darker because of being a bit more full. She also reports that her lashes do feel a bit softer.
To see more results check out the before and after photos on the RapidLash website.
If you are looking for RapidLash, I found it at Shoppers Drug Mart.
