I recently had the most awesome pleasure of not only discovery the SleepBuddy, but we got to use one and test it out. I cannot believe just how quickly my little one acknowledged her SleepBuddy and incorporated it into her bedtime and morning routine.
In case you are not familiar with what the SleepBuddy is, it is a easy-to-program sleep light that reminds your kids when to stay in bed.
Light is OFF, okay to get up.
SleepBuddy is designed to help your child learn when he or she should stay in bed, which results in a more peaceful night for everyone in the house.
SleepBuddy is the result of parental experience, and more than two years of work to develop a system that helps keep your children in bed.
SleepBuddy helps you teach your kids healthy sleep habits using a timed light that turns on when it’s time to sleep, and turns off when your child can get up.
The recommended age for the SleepBuddy is 1 1/2 – 6 years old. I think that this age assessment is a perfect age ranking. My little one is 5 and is crazy about her sleep buddy. She is always paying attention as to whether her SleepBuddy light is on or off. She wakes in the morning and sees her SleepBuddy light off and knows it is okay to get up. If she sees her SleepBuddy light on, she knows that she needs to get more rest. It is also helpful in the summer time when it is bright outside, but bedtime. With her SleepBuddy, she knows that when it turns on it is bedtime no matter what the sun is doing 🙂
SleepBuddy is for children who are:
In the crib and moving to a bed within 1-2 months
Currently transitioning from crib to bed, or
Sleeping in a bed but not staying through the night.Three simple steps toward sound, healthy sleep.
1. Present and explain SleepBuddy to your child. The system includes an engaging children’s book to help your child understand the concept.2. Program the soft blue light to turn on for scheduled nap time and when it is time for your child to go bed at night. Place the light in his/her room where it can be seen from the bed.
3. Record your child’s progress with the included incentive chart and smiley stickers. When a goal is reached, choose a reward that you feel is right for your child.
What the SleepBuddy complete sleep system package includes is the following:
Soft Blue Light

There really is not much to say about the SleepBuddy other than it really works. It has really helped my little one who cannot quite tell time yet to know when it is okay to get up and when it is time for bed. We love it. We love everything about it.
