Last year, MomMomOnTheGo and her Little One saw The Wiggles Celebration Tour. It was an amazing show and my Little One left the show upset that she would not see three of the original Wiggles again. So this year when we went to The Wiggles Taking Off Tour, I was kind of holding my breath to see how my Little One would react to the three new Wiggles. I was sure that my Little One would love the new Wiggles as much as the original Wiggles and she did.
My Little One was so into the Taking Off show. She was singing and moving along with The Wiggles. My Little One loves that the yellow Wiggle, Emma, is a girl. Yep, there is now a girl Wiggle for all the little girls to relate to and I think that is awesome.
We love that the purple Wiggle, Lachlan, which they seem to call Lachy, which sound like Lucky to my Little One, always falls asleep just like the original Wiggle used to. They say it is because of the purple shirt! π
I have to say that I am impressed with Simon’s range in his singing. Wow.
Of course we always love Wags the Dog, Dorothy the Dinosaur, Henry the Octopus and Captain FeatherSword. The show would not be complete without them and we were so happy that they were all a part of the show.
The Taking Off Tour delighted with great music, dance and laughter. My Little One was laughing her little head off at some points and I thought that it was wonderful. I want to share, without giving too much away, my Little One’s favorite parts of the show……all I will say is that she loved the Emma hair skit and Captain FeatherSword picking up his hat and feathersword. If you have seen the show, you will know the scenes I am referring too. If you have not seen the show as of yet, I am sure you will all be laughing away at those two amazing parts of the show.
I love that the songs have remained familiar. There may be 3 new members, but they have done an absolutely amazing job in introducing them and having them continue The Wiggles tradition through keeping a lot of what is familiar to The Wiggles fans. I am not saying that there is nothing new, there is new things in the show, but it was also nice to have a lot of familiar songs and traditions that The Wiggles do in their shows. A job extremely well done.
If my Little One could, she would go see the show again and again.
For the memorabilia, it was the usual pricing that you see at live concerts for children.
I have to say that we were all enjoying the show so much that it seemed like it was all over in no time. The show was just under an hour and a half which is in the regular time frame for children’s live shows. There was no intermission and I did not think one was even needed. When the show was over I could not believe that so much time had gone by so fast, which is a true indicator of us having fun.
My Little One, who is six years old, and I attended with another adult and a five year old. Everyone thought the show was wonderful. We highly recommend going to see a live Wiggles show if you ever get a chance. To see where The Wiggles are stopping next, check out their Official Tour Schedule.
