I was in the airport one day and I saw a child riding on their luggage. I thought that it was the coolest thing. When my youngest saw the child riding on the cool looking luggage she right away told me that she wanted one. Honestly, I really wanted luggage that I could ride on when I saw it!
Take a look at what is called the Trunki
You have to see Trunki in action so here is a little video to see what it is all about:
So before you get too excited like me and go for a ride on one, you have to know that the maximum weight allowed is 100 pounds. It is recommended for ages 3 and up. Trunki is very lightweight (when it is empty). One of the best things about Trunki is that it is airline approved as a carry on baggage as per the Melissa and Doug website, which is the maker of Trunki.
Also available are Trunki Accessories. They range from matching saddle bags to stickers to make a face on your Trunki.
Trunkis come in 6 different colors (pink, blue, red, purple, orange and green). There is sure to be a color that your little one will love.
Until March 3rd, 2011 you can receive free shipping from Melissa and Doug for any orders over $30 to the USA with the code FREESHIP30.
I have been looking everywhere in Canada since I saw my first Trunki. I finally saw one at a local store. They seem to be very hard to find in Canada as far as I can tell.
Here is a slideshow that gives you a better look at all the Trunki products. Compare prices from this site and from Melissa and Doug to make sure you get the best price. Depends on the current deals.
