Whether you like it hot or cold, there’s hardly anyone around who doesn’t like some caffeine from time to time. Many people frequent coffee shops and cafes for their daily dose of caffeine, but there’s no shortage of coffee enthusiasts who take joy in experimenting with different blends, recipes, and roasts.
If you’re one of these people and are lately out of ideas for new coffee recipes to try, we have some good news. This article lists some recipes that you may or may not have heard of before, and things you can add to your coffee to for an extra kick.
Coffee with a Hint of Vanilla
Coffee enthusiasts know better than to buy ground coffee, mainly because of how it loses it’s aroma with time. If you want to make sure the coffee you’re buying is a good quality blend, make sure to check out coffee roaster recipes and ratings online. This is because even when you buy whole roasted coffee beans, every manufacturer has different recipes and ways to roast coffee, which gives them all a unique flavor and fragrance.
If you want to make coffee with a hint of vanilla and almonds, all you have ot do is take one pound of coffee beans and grind them. Once that’s done, you can put a few drops of both vanilla essence and almond essence into the jar and store it overnight in the freezer.
You’ll notice distinct undertones of almond and vanilla in your coffee the next morning when you make it as usual.
Nutella Cold Coffee
Everyone loves cold coffee with chocolate, but cold coffe with nutella is on a whole different level. This drink is quick and easy to make, and the best part is that you can still experiment with it by using different kind of essences in place of the vanilla essence, and try different types of coffee in the recipe.
All you need is milk, Nutella, vanilla essence, and some instant coffee or ground coffee. You can add sugar, cream, or ice cream to the coffee as well. We suggest adding either chocolate or coffe flavored ice cream if you do for an extra rich drink, or to use vanilla ice cream if you want a rich, creamy taste.
Blend all these ingredients together for that perfect cup, and pour over ice to drink. If you want, you can even top it with whipped cream or chocolate sauce.
Peanut Butter Espresso Smoothie
This is something that’s both unique and delicious, not to mention incredibly healthy. Here’s a list of ingreadients:
- Any kind of milk
- Espresso or espresso powder
- Peanut butter or any kind of nut butter
- Bananas or crushed caschews (if you don’t want to use banans)
- You can also add dates and maple syrup if you want
As always, you need to mix everything up in the bleder for this caffinated smoothie. The flavirs are all pretty dynamic, and as you can guess this smoothie is protien rich and healthy too – which makes it a pretty great breakfast drink in our eyes.
Mocha With Cinnamon
Of course this list wouldn’t be complete without a recipe that’s perfect for winters. Mocha coffee with cinnamon will have lots of warm and spicey notes that will hit all the right places whether you drink it on a morning before work or curl up with it in bed or on the couch on a calm winter evening.
You need
- 1 cup milk
- ⅓ cup or ground coffee – we don’t suggest using instant coffee for this recipe
- Vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- Sugar to taste
- Whipped cream
- ¾ teaspoon ground cinamon
Mixing the cinnamon and coffee should give you enough coffee powder to make four cups of cinnamon mocha. Prepare this with some warm water and beat it with a frother or a handheld coffee mixer.
In a separate pan, cook the milk, cocoa powder, sugar, and vanilla extract for five minutes or until it boils and thickens a little. Once this is done, you can pour this over the coffee mixture and enjoy with a topping of whipped cream.
