When I was young…younger! I remember these books that I absolutely loved more than any other book I ever read; They were Choose Your Own Adventure books. They were amazing and I loved reading and re-reading by CYOA books, choosing different adventures each time I went through the books. As I sit here now, remembering my days reading CYOA books, I realize I even now have a smile on my face.
I was reminded of my love for the CYOA books the other day when I saw them on sale at Zulily. Just seeing the books again brought back those awesome memories of flipping through page after page of the book, wondering how the adventure was going to end this time. Should I decide this and flip to that page or decide that and flip to that page! I was so excited about the CYOA books again that I knew I had to get them for my little one.

Suggested Reading for Grade 1
My little one and I love Search For The Dragon Queen. It is a great book with 8 different endings. The book has colorful pictures as well. I have lost track as to how many times we have read Search For The Dragon Queen now!
The great thing about CYOA is you can shop as per your child’s reading level from Kindergarten to Grade 7.
An example of a Kindergarten level book would be The Haunted House.
The next book that my little one and I are going to be reading is a Grade Two level book called Your Very Own Robot Goes Cuckoo Bananas. This Grade Two level books has 10 possible endings.
As you move into the Grade Three level books, they start to take the size of a normal paperback novel. An example of a Third Grade level book is The Abominable Snowman. The books stay a similar fashion through the next grade levels being Grade Four and Grade Five. The books at these levels have a different number of endings depending on each book. One of our books has 42 different endings.
For the Grade 6/7 level, the books are The Golden Path series.
