I recently had a party that involved my brand new Dyson V6 Absolute. Yes that is correct, I had a party where my guests played with my new vacuum cleaner and cleaned my floors. Why did I not think of this type of party sooner! 🙂
Okay so the vacuum that I was putting to the test with my guests was the Dyson V6 Absolute.
The first thing that you need to know is how many amazing parts the Dyson V6 Absolute comes with…
*Two Dyson Power Heads (one for carpets, one for floors)
*Hepa Filter
*Mini Motorized Tool
*Docking Station
*Combination Accessory Tool
*Crevice Tool
*Mattress Tool
*Extendable Hose
The biggest problem I had was trying to decide which power head or tool to put on the end of the vacuum to get the job done. I have never had this type of problem with a vacuum before because I have never had a vacuum with so many different power heads and tools! Nice problem to have. 🙂
Here is a video review of my Dyson V6 Absolute to give you a better picture about this vacuum.
Okay so let’s get straight to what I like about my Dyson V6 Absolute…
*Lightweight
*A tool or power head for every job
*Powerful suction
*Cordless
*Goes under everything
*Reaches everywhere I need
*Easy clean canister
*Nothing stops the Dyson V6 Absolute, not even the dreaded ribbon
*Maneuvers incredibly
*2 Settings
*Washable lifetime filter
*Very pretty and love the colors
*It’s a Dyson
I have put the Dyson V6 Absolute to the test for all age groups from my Little One who is 8 years old, all the way up to my parents, who of course are older, but we will not mention their age 🙂 You can thank me later mom and dad. 🙂
Here is what I have found with respect to age categories and the Dyson V6 Absolute…
*The young and the old love the Dyson V6 Absolute. They like how light and easy it is to use. I attribute this to the need for a lighter vacuum for the younger and older age categories and usually, a smaller area to likely clean.
I never ask the kids to clean the entire house. My parents have down sized and have a smaller home, plus a housekeeper now as well. So the jobs they need to get done can be completed within the 20 minute battery life that the Dyson V6 Absolute has.
For the more middle age category, the feedback I received was that the Dyson V6 Absolute is a great stick vacuum that is good for a quick job or a touch up. As with our home, it is quite large at 2500 square feet so the V6 Absolute cannot be used as the main vacuum in our household by any means. But as a lightweight quick picker upper or touch up, it is amazing.
The feedback that I received from everyone is that the battery life at a maximum of 20 minutes is not long enough. The Dyson V6 Absolute lasts the 20 minutes if you do not put it on the MAX setting. On the MAX setting, we have experienced that the Dyson V6 Absolute lasts about 7 to 8 minutes.
Once the Dyson V6 Absolute battery needs recharging, it takes 3.5 hours to charge again. You also cannot plug in the Dyson V6 Absolute to use it.
So what would I recommend to Dyson?
*A second battery would be awesome.
*Ability to run once plugged in to at least finish the last of a job that was started.
*Warning that the battery dies such as a flashing light or something to that effect. When the Dyson V6 Absolute battery life ends and it needs recharging, it just stops.
Overall, I have to say that I love my Dyson V6 Absolute. It is so easy to use, lightweight, and gets the job done. The biggest dilemma that shoppers will have is if they feel that all the benefits that the Dyson V6 Absolute has, and it does have a lot, outweighs the 20 minute battery charge and the price tag of currently $649.99.
For me and my injured back, my Dyson V6 Absolute is a lifesaver and makes cleaning the house a task that I can manage.
