ICE On Board Giveaway

February 22, 2013 By MomMomOnTheGo

ICE

I.C.E. (In Case of Emergency) was an idea originally conceived by Bob Brotchie, a Paramedic in Britain in May 2005.

His idea was to have everyone add a contact in their cell phone named I.C.E. This contact would be the name and telephone number of the person they would like contacted in the event of an emergency.
This idea has gained momentum on both sides of the Atlantic. Many people today have an I.C.E. contact in their cell phone.

The I.C.E. tag is ideal when used alongside I.C.E. in your phone. The I.C.E. mission is to notify, identify and establish medical history. All of this is achieved in direct communication with the I.C.E. contact.

By having I.C.E. in your phone as well as an I.C.E. Tag, you are doubling the probability of responders seeing it and your loved ones being notified promptly.

Every member of my family has an I.C.E. tag of some form or another. Whether it is a tag on a helmet, backpack or in a wallet, we all carry an I.C.E. tag. I definitely want to be notified as soon as possible if something happens to any of my loved ones.

I learned from a really young age, just how important it is to be notified right away when someone you care for gets injured. Let me share a really sad story with you……

When I was in my early 20’s, my best friend’s brother was run over by a car. He was younger than us and out celebrating his birthday. After the car ran over him, he was able to get up and talk. His friends helped him and got an ambulance that rushed him to the hospital. Well, I do not know how soon the family was notified, but it was not soon enough. See, he died in surgery. The family never made it to the hospital before he went into surgery. They never had one last chance to see him. Of course everyone was left wondering “what if we had been called sooner.” Of course being notified wouldn’t have changed the fact that he died, but they might have had one last moment to say “I love you.”

The passing of this person that I knew so well growing up, left a huge imprint on me. If anything ever happened to any of my loved ones, I absolutely want to know as soon as possible. How do I try and ensure I will know as soon as possible? I.C.E. Products!

One of the newest I.C.E. products is I.C.E. On Board.
