MomMomOnTheGo recently got to try out and play the iTrax™ Game from Learning Resources with her Little One who is 6 years old. Playing the iTrax™ Game with my 6 year old was perfect since the game is rated for ages 6 and up and grade one and up.
A game of tactical tracking and speed! Use strategy, critical thinking and a keen eye to find the path connecting 2 blocks. Then recreate the path as fast as you can with your own pieces. Watch out, though, your mind could be playing tricks on you. Encourages problem-solving and perseverance! Three levels of play keep you challenged.
Includes 44 pieces, 25 double-sided pattern cards and Activity guide
Cards measure 8”L x 8”H
Grades 1+
I personally love games like the iTrax Game. It reminds me of some of the games I have on my smartphone and like to play. The wonderful thing about the iTrax Game is that it is a board game that is fun to play together as a family.
I love that the iTrax Game has three levels. I recommend starting out on the first level until everyone gets the hang of the game. Once everyone feels comfortable with the game, you can increase the level. The great thing about the iTrax game is it is very easy to learn. I love when games are easy to learn because I find they are more rewarding since everyone accomplishes things quickly.
The games are short so you do not have to play for hours. I love this fact as with a 6 year old, they are not typically interested in board games that go on and on and on. My Little One loves the feeling of accomplishment with shorter games and I find that shorter games get played more often than games that take longer to finish.
I suggest that when playing as a family, that the older players take on the harder challenges on the cards and the younger players use the lower level challenges on the cards. Everyone does not have to play the same level in order to play together and enjoy the game.
The goal of the iTrax Game is to duplicate the pattern on your card. Who can duplicate their card first…… You can imagine the excitement and adrenaline with this game. It is a family favorite. It is small, easy pieces to use, and easy to set up and put away. The iTrax Game will have your little one’s minds working hard, logically deducing how they can duplicate their card before you can duplicate yours.
The bottom line is, MomMomOnTheGo recommends the iTrax Game. I would recommend the iTrax Game to a friend and would give it as a gift.
