Over this past Christmas, I told you about a program Kellogg’s Canada was running called Treats For Toys. For every treat you made with Rice Krispies and then uploaded the photo to Kellogg’s, they in turn donated a toy to a less fortunate child. There were so many treats uploaded and such a great variety as well.
Well, it is always nice to find out the results of these amazing fundraisers and the results are in.
As you may recall, back in November, we shared our Kellogg’s Rice Krispies Treats for Toys initiative with you: an opportunity to spend time with family while creating and decorating Rice Krispies treats, and all for a great cause! We invited you to make toy-shaped treats and upload a picture of your creations to RiceKrispies.ca. For every picture uploaded, Kellogg’s Rice Krispies in turn committed to donate $20 to The Salvation Army to buy toys for children in need this holiday (up to a maximum of $30,000).
Well, with your help, we shared the magic of the Holidays with Canadian children in need. In fact, through your support and involvement we surpassed our goal! In total, 2,139 images were uploaded to the gallery at RiceKrispies.ca and a donation of $30,000 was made to The Salvation Army.
