Nancy Drew: Codes & Clues

My Little One likes playing games on the computer, tablet, and phone. I always make sure that I like and am okay with the games that she is playing.

One of the latest games that we checked out was the Nancy Drew: Codes & Clues game. I remember as a kid I loved Nancy Drew, so when I came across this game, I was excited to check it out.

The game has Nancy Drew and her friends in it. Your little one helps solve the mysteries with the Nancy Drew crew and their robot puppy. The puppy gets to be named by the player and my Little One named the robot puppy Lily.

We have not progressed through the entire game yet, but we have gone through an entire mystery.

The game starts with a mystery and the player needs to progress through levels in a find a hidden object to help find clues.

There is also a task that requires the player to program the robot. For the first programing task, it was simply putting in the right arrow sequence to have the robot puppy help Nancy Drew and her crew escape from being locked in a classroom. Here is an example photo of what the programming screens with the robot puppy look like.

My Little One is 9 years old and loved the Nancy Drew: Codes & Clues games. She loved the seek and find the clues sections. She also had a great time programming the robot puppy in its task.

The game really gets kids thinking. They need to read and assess the situations and then solve the problems along with the Nancy Drew crew.

The player also gets to customize the clothing that Nancy Drew and her crew are wearing, which my Little One liked. It really got her engaged and feeling a part of the crew right from the get go of the game.

Players will need to purchase the Nancy Drew: Codes & Clues game, but it is very inexpensive. Best of all, once purchased there are NO in app purchases and NO push notifications. To me, with no in app purchases, and no push notifications, it makes the initial minimal cost for the app more than worthwhile.
