PLAYLAND UNVEILS CANADA’S MOST EXTREME NEW RIDE, THE BEAST Vancouver, BC – Hold on to your hats, because Playland has unveiled its latest attraction, an extreme pendulum ride named “The Beast”, that is sure to cause your head to spin and give you an intense adrenaline rush.
Unlike any other ride in North America, The Beast features a swinging arm that reaches a maximum height of over 125 feet in the air and speeds of over 90 km/hr. Combine that with seats that face both inwards and outwards and also spin 360 degrees and you’ve got Canada’s most intense ride- a surefire hit at Playland for all looking to get their adrenaline fix.
“We are excited to unveil The Beast for the start of the 2015 season of Playland,” said Mike McDaniel, President and CEO of the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE). “Guests at Playland are going to love this new ride. It is unlike anything we’ve brought to park in the past and it is the perfect complement to the rides, games, food and other attractions that families will enjoy when they come.”
Playland at the PNE opens for its 2015 season on Saturday, May 16th at 10:00 AM. PlayPasses are currently available online and will give families access to over 30 rides and attractions, including the new thrill ride, The Beast.
