Holiday shopping!
What do you think of when I say those two words? Many people that I talk to think of endless searching for a parking space, tiring shopping, lugging jackets and parcels all around, and exhausted kids. Doesn’t sound like much fun at all does it.

Our evening of shopping started with valet parking. Now I know the parking lots are really full quite yet, and well we didn’t have any snow, but Coquitlam is part of the Lower Mainland of BC and what we get is insane rain. We jokingly call it the Lower Rainland for a reason after all! 🙂 So it is nice to just have to dash to the doors from well, right in front of the doors while your car is whisked away to be parked for you.
Every parent knows that the moment you walk in the mall that you all the sudden become the coat carrier. As the shopping progresses, you also because the parcel carrier. Free hands, such a rare thing that I experience while shopping. I have to admit that I was a lot less tired with not having to be the person lugging everything around.

The RBC Avion Holiday Boutique in Coquitlam Center is very welcoming, warm, and relaxing. It was so nice to take a load off my tired feet and to rejuvenate with a nice coffee. My Little One enjoyed an amazing hot chocolate loaded with whipped cream, marshmallows, chocolate sauce, and a candy cane. There were delicious chocolate chip shortbread cookies that were to die for. For those wishing to have a cooler refreshment, there is yummy cucumber water.
Also available at the RBC Avion Holiday Boutique is a gift wrapping service. At Coquitlam Center, RBC Avion cardholders receive 5 free gift wrappings for parcels purchase within the mall. Parcels beyond the first 5, are gift wrapped by donation, with all donations going to charity. I really love the gift wrapping services. I love the combination of 5 free wrapped items and then the donations to charity. What a nice balance of rewarding RBC Avion cardholders as well as helping charity.
I have to admit that after a night of shopping, that I came home feeling pretty good. I wasn’t exhausted like I normally feel. My Little One was in a great mood. She really loves the RBC Avion Holiday Boutique and when she knows that it is in the mall, she is always asking when we will be heading their for the hot chocolate.
