MomMomOnTheGo has reviewed a Toymail Fox product before and we loved the product. It delivered messages to little ones and was a blast. Since then, Toymail has grown and now has a plush message delivery system called The Talkies.
(New York, NY) Toymail, the first company to create toys that let friends and family exchange voice messages with kids, has announced the release of its next genera?on of messaging toys, a quirky plush line called “Talkies.” Kids can use the revolu?onary toys to connect to any number of approved adults via the Toymail app, and to their friends’ Talkies, making it unnecessary to give young children a phone.
The Talkies will launch as a global pre-sale on Toymail’s website, www.toymail.co on 03/08/16. During the presale, the Talkies will be available for $59, a 25% discount from the full price of $79.
Far more than a traditonal toy company, Toymail makes toys that are a distribution vehicle for software. The company recently received major funding of $1.5M from Amazon, Verizon, and Y Combinator to build out its platorm. Toymail is the only messaging solu?on that is inexpensive and safe for kids to connect with their friends and family.
Sending voice messages with Toymail is simple – parents purchase a Talkie, connect to it via the Toymail app for IOS or Android, and invite friends and family members to exchange messages with their child. Kids can initiate messages directly from their Talkie toys, too. The Talkies’ 4-bucon interface is so straightforward that children as young as two use Toymail’s beta product. “The experience is magical when a child so young is able
to send a message directly to a phone,” said CEO Gauri Nanda.Parents use Toymail to build deeper bonds with their children throughout the day, without having to put them behind a screen. Toymail chose messaging as its first service because of the enormous untapped market- 95% of children under the age of 10 don’t have a phone (70% of parents feel it would be inappropriate for children that age). Yet, 71% of parents surveyed state that they want their children to stay connected with friends and family for social and security reasons.
Until recently, Toymail toys were cost prohibitive to make. The drama?c decrease in the cost of WIFI chips has enabled Toymail to build software services into the physical form factor of a toy. “Over the past two years, we’ve tested and perfected this product and the app that powers it,” say Hill and Nanda. “We’re beyond excited to bring it to the masses.”
About Toymail
Crowdfunded in 2013, Toymail is an award-winning pla]orm that is revolutionizing the way children communicate and connect throughout the day, while keeping them off-screen. Toymail’s groundbreaking technology is simple and kid-safe, fusing physical play in a digital environment and strengthening connections with loved ones. Toymail founders Gauri Nanda and Audry Hill bootstrapped the beta version of Toymail, after previously selling 1M units of Clocky, the alarm clock that runs away, through their sister company, Nanda Home. Toymail is based in New York City.
This is how The Talkies work…

Using the Free Toymail app, create your trusted circle to let kids stay in touch with parents, grandparents, and friends.
2 | SHARE MOMENTS
Sending Toymail is a cinch – just push a button on the back of the Talkie. Send and share the sweet & hilarious messages you receive via direct sharing or on social media.
3 | STAY CONNECTED
Messages are immediately sent to parent-approved contacts. Kids can message a grownup’s phone, using the free Toymail app, or another kid’s Talkie.
The Toymail App is free and available for iOS, Google Play, and on Amazon. I love that the App is free and available for all platforms.

Okay so here is what we love about Toymail The Talkies:
*Plush, cuddly, stuffie.
*Great characters to choose from: Dino, Shark, Bat, and Mouse.
*Easy to use.
*Keeps kids connected with parents, grandparents, or anyone else with a device.
I asked my Little One what she would recommend to Toymail and she said the following:
*A pink or purple Talkies option.
My Little One could not think of anything else she would ask for in The Talkies.
We were in love with Toymail with its original product. The concept was awesome and it was easy to use. Toymail has only expanded their awesome line of products with The Talkies.
Orders over $50 have free shipping so with the Wifi Voice Messenger Talkies ship for free.
The Talkies are recommended for ages 3 and older and I agree with this age ranking. The Talkies are easy to use and appealing because of their cuddly nature.
