From Hexbug comes the Vex Robotics Catapult.
In 100BC, Greek and Roman engineers changed the face of battle with the invention of the most powerful long-range weapon the world had ever seen. Now kids everywhere can experience the thrill of launching objects with the VEX® Robotics Catapult by HEXBUG®!
Two balls included. Batteries not required.
VEX Robotics Catapult is compliant with CPSIA standards. Ages 14+
The Vex Robotics Catapult does not require batteries to operate it. It runs on wheels that crank it.
The description says it comes with two balls, but in our set we received three balls.
The age ranking is 14 years old and up and I suggest listening to this age ranking. My 8 year old found it too hard to follow the picture instructions, even with trying to build the catapult with me.
The building is something that takes time and concentration. I would suggest it for the avid constructor or builder. Someone that likes building 3D puzzles or models would likely like this set.
If I was to improve anything for the Vex Robotics Catapult, I would ask for better instructions. The instructions are just all pictures and honestly, with my eyes getting older, I found them hard to follow and see what piece they meant for me to use and where exactly it was going.
The pieces do click together very easily and if you make a mistake, you can undo them easily as well.
You can find the Vex Robotics Catapult in your local toy stores where HexBug products are sold.
