Grades 3+

I will be honest, I am not an expert in any way when it comes to the solar system and telescopes but I still was able to do everything right on the GeoSafari® Omega Refractor Telescope. It was straight forward to assemble, easy to change the eyepieces and simply to get a star in view for the entire family to enjoy. It has been amazing to spend summer nights gazing up at the stars and then finding them in the telescope. My kids ask almost every night if tonight we can stay up to see the stars.

It is times like late evenings on the porch or out camping, looking through the telescope at the wonderful stars in the sky that I think stick with kids as they grow up. I love these family moments and I love that there are companies such as Educational Resources out there that make great quality, educational products for families and kids.

What made star gazing even more special is I recently named a star after our youngest one for graduating from Montessori. So we have been on a hunt to figure out to location of her star in the night sky so we can see her star through our telescope. Even thinking of these moments we have spent together leaves me sitting here smiling as I write about them.

Please note that the telescope is rated for Grade 3 and above or ages 8 and above. We use the telescope with out 5 year old, but of course we assist her with the use of it. Our 10 year old is able to use it on her own, but likes assistance with locating and focusing in on stars in the night sky.
