I recently came across Givopoly, an online gift giving service and I was so intrigued by what they had to offer, that I had to try them out. Of course the only way to get the true experience was to send myself a gift π and so that is what I did……
Givopoly is available in Canada on Vancouver, Ottawa, and Toronto. I am in the Vancouver area, so my review here is about my experience with the Vancouver Givopoly. If anyone else has used the Ottawa or Toronto Givopoly, please feel free to leave a comment with your experience. We would all love to hear about it.

I really like the idea of the Givopoly gifts being from local businesses. I like supporting and exploring local companies. Here are some of the local Vancouver Givopoly companies…..
chocolaTas
Chocolate Arts
Edible Canada
Lemonade Gluten Free Bakery
Giving Gifts & Company
JoyRide Vancouver
Meat & Bread
Mission Kitsilano
Olives on Tap
Vancouver Water Adventures
Okay so I was pretty torn on what to order…..
I was very interested in the City and Seals Boat Tour, Canadiana Gift Basket, and the ChocolaTas Elegance Gift Box.
My inner chocoholic won and we went for the ChocolaTas Elegance Gift box….
Ordering was a breeze once I finally decided which present I was going with. You pick your delivery date, and I gave them a challenge by picking the next day delivery to see if the turn around could be met. You also pick the time frame you want the delivery to happen and I picked anytime throughout the day.
My delivery came the next day in the early afternoon. I opened it up and it was ChocolaTas, but they had sent me the wrong item. I contacted the customer service and they were very good and within 2 hours, I had the right package delivered to me. They also told me to keep the original delivery as they were very sorry about the error.
I was in chocolate heaven. π
The ChocolaTas are delectable and I was forced to share with everyone in the house. Okay I did not mind sharing. There were more than enough to go around. I really love the presentation of their chocolates as they stand out from their competition. They are like little pieces of edible art.
If I was to ask for one thing from ChocolaTas, it would be a chocolate legend. π
I cannot think of anything I would ask to be different with respect to Givopoly. Ordering was a breeze, selection is good and probably growing I would think, and delivery was awesome. Givopoly is a wonderful service that is perfect for giving gifts to anyone for any occasion.
I would love to suggest Granville Island Coffee Company to Givopoly. With so many coffee lovers out there, Granville Island Coffee Company would be an awesome addition to their lineup of gifts. If you can think of another local company that would be a good fit, make sure to leave a comment to let us know about them.
I would also love to see the addition of a kids area for gifting. What about something like the Pirate Adventures in Vancouver, or maybe evenKidsWorld Vancouver.
I would also love to see our local attractions join the ranks, where you can give an admission to the attraction or even a family pass. The Vancouver Aquarium and Science World would be perfect for this.
A wonderful anniversary gift would be the local Picnix, which is a service for a picnic in Stanely Park.
I can see now that Givopoly will likely just keep growing and having even more and more gifts to offer their clients. This is a wonderful service that I love.
If anyone is thinking of sending MomMomOnTheGo a gift, I love maple syrup and would love to try the Canadiana Gift Basket from Edible Canada. π
