HEXBUG Ring Racer

November 25, 2018 By MomMomOnTheGo

I have always found that HEXBUG makes pretty ingenious remote control and robotic products and their all-new Ring Racer is no exception. Get ready for some zipping fun with HEXBUG’s remote-controlled Ring Racer.

Prepare for a toy unlike anything you’ve seen before! The HEXBUG Ring Racer is the latest in innovative, motorized technology.

Available in an assortment of multiple colors
Includes 1 USB recharging cable
Includes I/R remote control
Includes 1 Ring Racer
Ages 8 years and up
Batteries included

This self-stabilizing remote controlled robot runs mesmerizingly on dual spinning rings. Watch it spin, tumble, and flip over a full 360 degrees! Push your robot to the limits. Two-speed settings allow you to drive in regular mode, or blast-off into turbo mode! Create your own clever stunts and recharge your bot’s batteries to keep the fun going!

HEXBUG Ring Racers come in three color options: Green & Purple, Red & Black, and Blue & Orange.

The battery in the Ring Racer is rechargeable with the USB cable it comes with. The batteries in the remote control are provided and are small button type batteries.

Due to small parts, this product is not recommended for young children. The recommended age is for 8 years old and up which I agree with.

The hardest part of the Ring Racer is getting comfortable with controlling it. Once you have a handle on using the remote control, you are off to the races. You can set up jumps, obstacles, courses to run through and have races. We have two Ring Racers and it allows for fun head to head competition.

The Ring Racer takes approximately one hour to fully charge. Once fully charged the Ring Racer battery last approximately 30 minutes which is a good amount of time to get a number of stunts, races, and tricks in. Life of the battery determines on use of course and with two-speed settings, regular and turbo, you get more playing time with regular speed than with turbo speed.

You have to remain within approximately five meters of your Ring Racer for the remote control to work. I think that this is a pretty good distance to be able to have to stay within range for.

HEXBUG Ring Racers are a blast. They are fun to race around and a ton of fun to do jumps and obstacles with. I love the colors that Ring Racers come in with green and purple being my favorite.

You can find HEXBUG Ring Racers in your local toy and department stores as well as online at Amazon.
