I love it when I come across a product that has been invented by a child. I find young entrepreneurs so inspiring. They set a wonderful example for other children.
What I love even more than a young entrepreneur, is one that invents a product that is awesome.
Mini Sticky is in my books, an awesome product that anyone with little (or big) hockey fans will love. It is such a wonderful idea and it has a realistic application.
Okay so what is Mini Sticky? Well no better way to show it than to show you a picture of our Mini Sticky.
Okay so we have not gotten all our mini sticks onto our Mini Sticky as of yet. The reason for that is because….we cannot find them! They are all over our house somewhere with some in the garage, some in the playroom….well you get the idea. That is after all the entire purpose behind Mini Sticky….to organize all those mini sticks.
I want you to meet the inventor of Mini Sticky. Introducing Langley…..
About Mini Sticky:
The mini sticks in our house were always all over the floor, making a big mess and driving our mom bonkers, so I came up with an idea to help clean them up. I told my dad about my idea and he helped me make a prototype of my design: a wooden mini hockey stick that mounts to the wall, with 8 nails along the stick, to hang the mini sticks, neatly, off the floor!
A week later my dad came home and told us Dragons’ Den was holding auditions in Halifax and that we should go present my idea. We went to the auditions (my younger brother, Macguire, came with me) and we got picked to go on the show! It was so exciting and so cool we can say we pitched to the dragons in the “den”!
Since being on the show, we’ve had lots of sales, especially before Christmas. We started off making them in our basement, but my dad was getting too busy trying to make all the Stickys, so we found someone who can help us make them. Now we have someone making the sticks for us and then we paint and tape them in whatever colors people want to order. We’ve sold over 150 miniStickys, all over Canada and even in the US! Everyone who sees our Sticky thinks it’s such a great idea….especially hockey moms – they love it!
That’s right, Langley and her younger brother Macguire got to pitch their Mini Sticky to the Dragon Den. How awesome is that!
Our Mini Sticky is in our hockey haven in our garage where all our hockey products for training and fun are. Mini Sticky is a nice addition to our hockey products. At least when we want to play a mini hockey game, we will be able to find our mini sticks now.
Okay so I love the Mini Sticky and here is why:
*Adorable
*Practical
*Customize-able (They will make your Mini Sticky in any color you wish).
*Affordable
*Quality – Very well made.
*Invented by a young entrepreneur.
There is nothing that I would ask to be changed or added to the Mini Sticky. I think that Langley and Macquire have invented an awesome product that has practical application in any hockey household. The Mini Sticky would make great gifts for hockey teams at year end. They would also make a wonderful Christmas gift for your little hockey fans in the house.
The Mini Sticky easily makes it onto MomMomOnTheGo’s 2014 Christmas Wish List this holiday season.
If you are interested in finding out more about Mini Sticky or ordering one of your own, you can do so through the Mini Sticky Facebook Page or by emailing Mini Sticky.
I just want to say…way to go Langley and Macguire. Keep inventing products because you inspire others both adults and kids alike. You have invented and produced an awesome product that has real application for any hockey fan or hockey family.
