For anyone that has been lucky enough to see the Imagination Movers “In A Big Warehouse” concert then you know how amazing they are.
The Imagination Movers are like a rock concert for little kids. The little ones that we went with were dancing, singing and having an amazing time from start to finish of the “In A Big Warehouse” show.
The Movers themselves were going through the audience and our little ones were so excited that they got to give each of them a high five. It was a lifetime experience for them that they are still talking about.
I ran a contest awhile back for Imagination Movers concert tickets, but that contest is now closed. Our winner of the contest told me that they had a great time and had amazing front row seats for the show.
In case you missed my earlier contest blog post with who the Imagination Movers are, here is a little information about them;
The Imagination Movers have won an Emmy Award. They have been on the View, Live with Regis & Kelly and Good Morning America. “Their unique brand of smart, high-energy pop was described in the New York Times as “prized by many parents for non-condescending lyrics and music that evokes the Beastie Boys or Red Hot Chili Peppers.” ”
“Since signing to Walt Disney Records, the Imagination Movers have sold more than 100,000 albums, received multiple awards and earned critical praise from the Associated Press, Entertainment Weekly and many other media outlets. Their newest release, In a Big Warehouse, the soundtrack for the second season of the television series, hit the charts this fall, debuting at #2 on Billboard’s Top New Artist Albums chart and bowing at #3 on Billboard’s Children’s Chart.”
“The Imagination Movers television series, which features the blue-suited band as brainstormers working hard to solve “Idea Emergencies” in their Idea Warehouse, is a hit with audiences around the world, airing in over 55 countries/territories and in 12 languages since September 2008. The Movers are currently filming the third season of the series and recently filmed a concert in their hometown of New Orleans with some very special guests. Season three of the series and the concert special will air in 2011. Imagination Movers airs daily during Disney Channel’s Playhouse Disney programming block for preschoolers (to be rebranded Disney Junior in early 2011).”
But who are the imagination movers themselves?
“The Imagination Movers are Collins, a former journalist and father of five; Scott Durbin, a teacher and father of two; Dave Poche, an architect and father of two; and Scott “Smitty” Smith, a New Orleans firefighter who was part of the Hurricane Katrina search and rescue effort.”
Want the upcoming concert dates and to buy tickets then go to the Imagination Movers Tour website.
In my opinion this is an entertaining show for both parents and kids and one that your kids will remember and will not want to miss. The Movers are a class act that is entertainment that I approve of for my children.
Be prepared to buy an awesome light up drum stick. The kids were going crazy over them. At the concert we were at they were $25.00, but our little one still plays with it all the time.
