Chicken Soup for the Soul – The Joy of Less

December 24, 2016 By MomMomOnTheGo

About the Book:

In Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Joy of Less you’ll read stories about people who found happiness by simplifying their lives. Whether it’s by cleaning out their closets or cleaning out their schedules, they learned to say no to the things that did not matter, so they could say yes to the thing that did. There are a hundred different ways to find the joy in less.

Chicken Soup for the Soul – The Joy of Less is the traditional format for a Chicken Soup for the Soul book. It is comprised of 101 short stories to inspire and enlighten you.

The Joy of Less has 101 stories that fall into one of the following categories:

*The Freedom of Less
*The Joy of No
*All You Need is Less
*Joyfully Unplugged
*The Joy of Sharing
*Less is So Much More
*Joy On the Road
*Count Your Blessings
*The Joy of Starting Over
*Lessons in Less

I am a fan of over-committing my time. My nickname of MomMomOnTheGo reflects that personality trait for me.

Maybe sometime I will be ready to slow down and commit less so I have joy from less, but right now I am in the throws of the excitement of being a mom of an amazing young girl. I am loving being involved in everything and contributing wherever and whenever I can.

The stories in The Joy of Less will get you thinking for sure. For me, I will hang onto this book and re-read it when I am ready to sit back, relax, and retire. Until then, I am enjoying the throws of committing my time to everything family and to my only daughter who is simply my dream come true.

If you are open to the less is more perspective right now, or you want to explore it, then Chicken Soup for the Soul – The Joy of Less is a great read.
