If I say Tonka, I think just about everyone thinks….Built to Last. Tonka is known for their quality products that kids love. We recently checked out a Tonka TINYS playset, which is a small version that can be used either at home for play time, or conveniently packed and taken for on the go play. The set that we checked out was the Tonka TINYS Blast and Dash Quarry Playset.

On the Tonka website, there is a discrepancy for age recommendation for this product. One place says ages 3 and older and then in the description as cited above, it says ages 5 and older. I recommend that this playset is for ages 5 and older. There are small pieces in the playset that pose as a choking hazard.
The playset comes with the main part as well as the logs, rock, and TINYS truck.
The playset actually blasts and explodes in that it has a toppling tower and a detonator that really works. That is pretty cool.
The playset itself appears very well made. It is an easy surface to keep clean as far as wiping it down.
The TINYS Blast and Dash Quarry does connect to the Tinys Car Crush Escape Playset which is sold separately and that we will be reviewing in the near future as well.
The TINYS sets are wonderful sets. They are easy to pull out and play with and then put away in a bin. I recommend keeping the set in a container of bin so the log and boulder do not get misplaced. If you need a toy for a visit to a friend’s house or going to visit grandparents etc….the TINYS playset is easy to pack up and bring.
I love toys that encourage play time and imaginative play and Tonka gets that happening with the TINYS Blast and Dash Quarry playset. It is engaging and an exciting, action playset.
