Project MC2

September 25, 2016 By MomMomOnTheGo

My Little One recently came across a Netflix series called Project MC2. The series has a group of girls that become friends and who each have their area of specialty that they rely on to solve mysteries. There are currently two seasons of Project MC2 streaming on Netflix with the third season starting October 14th. My Little One who is 9 years old cannot wait to see season 3.

Teenage spy McKeyla teams up with three other super-smart girls to become secret agents who use their science and tech skills to save the day.

Of course a TV series would not be complete without products on the market and we are loving the Project MC2 products that encourage kids to explore and learn.

Now you can perform an experiment at home with earthy scientist and newest member of Project Mc2, Ember Evergreen™. Make your own hanging garden using safe household ingredients like soil and plant seeds.

There’s science to gardening. Your clear container, called a terrarium, is like an aquarium for plants. It’s a mini-world in there! The plants inside need less water because the container helps trap moisture. Some of the water in the terrarium is reused through a three-step water cycle — (1) water evaporates, (2) water vapor cools to make droplets when it touches the container, (3) water droplets drip back down to the plant.

Now you can perform an experiment at home with Project Mc2TM leader, McKeyla McAlisterTM;. Make your own glitter globe light again and again using safe household ingredients like water, glitter and glycerine.

Picking Up S.T.E.A.M.

Most people know that wires conduct electricity, but did you know that tap water can as well? To turn on the light, you need electricity to flow from the battery to the light and back — a complete circuit. Turning the bulb right side up allows electricity to flow through the water and reach the light. You add glycerine because it thickens the water, making it more like syrup. Now, the glitter will fall slower.

My Little One and I absolutely love the Project MC2 experiment dolls that we have. My Little One loves them because it engages her and really brings her into the Project MC2 world. She absolutely loves doing experiments and doing them in the theme of the show and the characters she loves makes the experiments more exciting. It is like she is one of the Project MC2 crew and she loves it.

Of course as a mom, I love that these experiment dolls encourage my daughter to explore and learn. I love the show because it shows smart girls in great roles and as great role models. It grabs my daughter’s attention and gets her thinking and wanting to explore. The dolls aren’t just your typical dress up and use your imagination to play, but they go beyond that and get your child thinking, exploring, learning, and experimenting. I absolutely love how they encompassed getting kids involved in scientific learning with the imaginative play doll. It is wonderful.

Each of the dolls have their unique experiment or science project that coincides with their role and area of expertise on the series. To me, the Project MC2 dolls are a home run and a must check out TV series and product line.

You can find the Project MC2 products at Walmart, Toys R US, Target, and of course online at Amazon.
