PLAYMOBIL turns 50! The iconic brand has become an integral part of many people’s lives and this is celebrated in style throughout the year – with exciting new products, exclusive anniversary sets, new brand experiences and numerous exciting activities. The legendary PLAYMOBIL pirates set sail in December, heralding many more birthday highlights to come. These include classics such as the fire brigade, mermaids and the hospital, as well as anniversary editions of the most popular PLAYMOBIL products. The sustainable product ranges Wiltopia, Horses of Waterfall and Organic Farm will be continued and supplemented by further themes such as the Tiny House. The strong licence cooperations, for example Asterix, Porsche and Disney, are also growing. With Miraculous, PLAYMOBIL already has the next licence hit in the pipeline. At the same time, the brand is reinventing itself in many areas – for example with a comprehensive, consumer-orientated relaunch of the toddler range.
PLAYMOBIL 1.2.3 is now PLAYMOBIL JUNIOR
At the beginning of 2024, PLAYMOBIL converted the production of all items in its toddler portfolio from traditional, fossil-based to plant-based materials. The toddler line is also receiving a new name and a new look. PLAYMOBIL 1.2.3 is now PLAYMOBIL JUNIOR. The playsets under the new brand are made with plastics originating from raw materials that are at least 90% plant-based. The new plant- based plastics can be traced back to materials left over from food or paper production according to the mass balance approach used in the circular economy and based on the ISCC 208 standard. The first play sets will be available in February 2024. The entire product range is planned to be converted by the middle of the year, including the sets from the license cooperation with Disney. This makes PLAYMOBIL the first major toy manufacturer worldwide to offer a complete product segment using at least 90 % plant-based materials.
Disney’s Mickey and Minnie Mouse as well as Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Piglet invite toddlers to discover a whole new kind of playtime fun with them in new play sets. Mickey Mouse on a boat tour, Minnie Mouse at the beach, Tigger in a rubber boat as well as Winnie the Pooh and Piglet on a water adventure are all designed for water play in both pool and bathtub. Launching in summer, four more playsets inspired by popular Disney Princess characters will be added to the PLAYMOBIL toddler range. In addition, further new products will be released in 2024 for children aged 1 – 4 who love to explore.

In line with the motto “Let’s act more responsibly”, PLAYMOBIL is working to improve the sustainability of its processes – for the protection of our planet and the future of our children. In 2024, there will be a total of six series on the market that are made from over 80% recycled and bio-based materials on average:
There’s always something going on on the Organic Farm! The sustainable play world is continuing to grow with five new playsets featuring original ideas about nature-conscious country life. From a tractor and a cozy site trailer café to a vegetable garden and a jam sale stand: The new Country play sets are an ideal addition to the large farm play world. The organic farm and other items invite children to discover a new side to life and work in the countryside. The detailed sets inspire new stories with lots of playtime fun, in which the careful use of our natural resources is a natural part of everyday life. 1
The new Tiny House play world picks up on the trend of minimalist and environmentally conscious living with five play sets. The Tiny House with solar panels and vertical garden offers everything for happy family living on little space. On the chicken farm and when caring for the hedgehog family, everything revolves around the animal mates. In their free time, the book swap for bookworms or the campfire with marshmallows await little explorers. In the stories from the Tiny House, children can playfully explore topics such as sustainability and animal welfare – and become the creative thinkers of tomorrow.
From April, children go on a discovery tour into the jungle with the Dinosaurs and immerse themselves in action-packed role-playing adventures. In the research camp, the researchers carry out measurements, examine eggs under the microscope and collect data. The most popular dinosaurs such as T-Rex, Velociraptor and Stegosaurus are of course included in the five playsets also featuring cool dinosaur knowledge cards.
The centre of the versatile horse world Horses of Waterfall is the picturesque Waterfall Ranch. This is where the five best friends Amelia, Isabella, Zoe, Ellie and Ben spend every spare minute together with their horses. Between riding training and horse care, there’s always an exciting adventure awaiting. Six new playsets with cute ponies and lots of accessories, such as the mobile riding school and a cozy riding stable, will be added to the range at the end of March. Five more new products will follow in September, such as the large riding academy and a club hideaway with exciting features allowing new adventures every day. These sets also include horses to comb, style and even dye their manes and tails with washable colours.
G’Day and welcome to Australia! The Palmer family of researchers continues their educational journey around the world. Four new, detailed Wiltopia playsets with exciting features bring the fascinating Australian animal world into playrooms. Together with the Palmers, children can discover the fascinating underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef, observe kangaroos, platypuses or wombats and – from a safe distance – even the eight-legged inhabitants of spider rock. All sets include a collector’s card with animal facts and a QR code that leads to exclusive content to listen to.
Living dreams come true in the new Living House featuring a winter garden and solar system. The light-flooded Bauhaus-style building offers plenty of space to play and can be personalized. The central living room is already fully equipped. The house can be extended and decorated with four additional room sets: An inviting kitchen, a lovingly furnished children’s room, a bedroom with a baby play corner and a modern bathroom offer plenty of detailed accessories. Off to new adventures!
Miraculous fans will soon be able to replay the adventures of the globally loved superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir in the PLAYMOBIL format. In cooperation with ZAG, PLAYMOBIL has developed its own series of nine playsets based on the top-rated CG-animated adventure series ZAG Heroez Miraculous™ – Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. The multiple award-winning franchise is available in over 120 markets, and is another addition to the extensive PLAYMOBIL license portfolio. Products will launch in March 2024 around the world.
The new Mermaid play world from the Princess Magic range invites children to dive into the dazzling depths of the ocean. There are colourful corals, beautiful aquatic plants and cute animals to discover in six varied sets. No matter if wounds have to be bandaged or shark teeth have to be cleaned – every animal is helped at the mermaid sealife care. Additions such as the seahorse carriage provide plenty of playtime fun. Great extra: Each set includes decorative shells to collect, which can be attached to smooth surfaces using suction cups.
The PLAYMOBIL Pirates have been sailing the world’s oceans again since December, led by the infamous Queen of the Pirates. When fighting against the giant octopus or on a treasure hunt for the crystal skull artefact, exciting adventures await daring buccaneers. Four more new products will follow in June: The pirate crew sails to the mysterious Skull Island on the floatable Large Pirate Ship. But if you want to get to the treasure, you first have to face the swift Crab Deeper! Courage and skill are also required in the Battle with the Giant Crab. A MyFigures set with pirate figures for individual design and change again and again provides the crew with support.
The old rivalry between the Burnham Raiders and the Knights of Novelmore flares up again. Five play sets with numerous features will provide new knight action from the end of February. A hot- tempered raider is trying to take over the forge of the Knight’s Tower and the Knights of Novelmore also have to watch out for the Burnham Raiders when they are out and about. Whether it’s a Transport Robbery or a Roadside Ambush, the villains are never at a loss for a trick. Kahboom’s Racing cart and a MyFigures set with knights to customzse complete the range. Knight fans can also look forward to four more sets in September. The new large Knight’s Castle of Novelmore offers numerous defence and conquest functions. The Burnham Raiders get ready to board in their Attack Wagon with fire cannon. Novelmore and Burnham will be competing with new crests and armour and, for the first time, a good dragon will be fighting alongside the Novelmorians. With its blue lights, sirens and fire pumps, the PLAYMOBIL Fire Brigade makes the hearts of rescue fans beat faster and is an integral part of many children’s rooms. Six varied new “Action Heroes” playsets complement the products that are already available in the range. The Firefighting plane with extinguishing function and the Fire boat with Aqua scooter provide support on water and in the air. A manoeuvrable Fire Engine has been added to the vehicle fleet and for Animal Rescue, the firefighters use hydraulic equipment. In addition, a new MyFigures set with different special units offers creative combination options.
Who doesn’t fancy shopping? The eight playsets in the new Shopping Mall can be individually combined and assembled to create a huge world. Customers can try on their new clothes in the fashion store. Even more trendy outfits and great accessories await in the Beauty boutique and during Clothes Shopping. The Hair Salon offers creative hairstyles to match the outfit. Youngsters can discover toys galore in the Toy shop. And those who want to fortify themselves for the next round of shopping can enjoy treats such as sushi or waffles in the Food Lounge and at the Sweets Stand. A MyFigures set with figures and cool outfits to customize and change again and again completes the play world.
Patients are always in the best hands in the large and fully equipped Modern Hospital. In addition to an operating room with state-of-the-art equipment, also the patient rooms with bath room and toilets and the lift for barrier-free access provide everything needed for a speedy recovery. Thanks to its modular design, the hospital can be customized and perfectly combined with four elaborately designed add-on sets including various specialists. Iconic licences for fans and collectors
Right at the start of the year, the exciting anime license NARUTO SHIPPUDEN will be expanded to include twelve more popular characters from the successful series of the same name, and fans can look forward to the next great additions as early as summer.
At the end of March, the Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Offroad with more ground clearance, front guard and roof rack sets off for daring rides through rough terrain.
New adventures from Asterix and Obelix! Nine detailed sets with selected characters from the famous comics to collect will be released at the end of June.
It’s all about creativity
PLAYMOBIL Color taking creativity to a new level. With the included pens, children can redesign the four new sets again and again. In the Dog Salon or during Dog Training, the four-legged friends as well as the furniture and outfits can be painted.
