Colour A Costume-Butterfly Wings

May 18, 2016 By MomMomOnTheGo

My Little One loves playing dress up and she loves doing arts and crafts. So combining dress up play time and arts and crafts is like hitting the play time jackpot.

The product that combined dress up play with arts and crafts was the Colour a Costume – Butterfly Wings from Great Pretenders.

Great Pretenders

Fairy Wings are special – it is said that every time a baby laughs for the first time, a fairy gets it’s wings – and we think the first full-on kid giggle deserves these be-dazzling wings offered in this new Colour-A-Costume Butterfly Fairy Wings set! This set comes with gems to stick on, 8 markers and a fanciful set of wings to personalize and colour. The reverse side is made from a heavy satin. Hours and hours of fun await so get ready to giggle!

I have reviewed similar products in the past such as the colour me cape. We loved the colour me cape and we love the Colour A Costume Butterfly Wings.

The Butterfly Wings are very well made. The set comes with everything needed for your little one to colour their wings just the way they like them. Once the decorating fun is done, the imaginative and dress up play time begins.

The one thing to take note of is the sizing for the Butterfly Wings. They are meant for ages 3 to 6 and if your little one is older than 6, the wings might not fit them.

The quality of the satin and material is very good. The Butterfly Wings are definitely well made. I like that it comes with so many stick on gems (50 of them) and 8 markers. The quantity of gems and marker selection really allow for creativity when decorating the wings.

The Butterfly Wings are a keepsake for sure. My Little One adores her Butterfly Wings. They have extra special meaning to her as she created them herself through colouring and personalizing them to make them unique and her own.

I know that once my Little One outgrows the dress up and play stage, that I will take these Butterfly Wings and put them in her memory box. They will undoubtedly bring back smiles and wonderful memories later when she is older and takes them out to look at them and even maybe show them to her kids. 🙂
