Crawligator Offers Infants Two Ways To Play

April 17, 2025 By MomMomOnTheGo

Did you know there are two ways to play with The Crawligator?  This developmental toy offers infants a novel option for experiencing the world, allowing them to get “tummy time” while also providing the means to move about before they’ve completely nailed the whole crawling thing.  The first way to play is called “Stay & Play.” It keeps babies in place by staying stationary on carpet, while supporting their cognitive and sensory development, building strength and encouraging independence. Second, babies can Roll & Go when they’re ready on a hard surface. This supports gross motor skill development and coordination with smooth ball caster wheels for gentle mobility!

The Crawligator is HSA/FSA eligible, and a Stem.org Authenticated Early Childhood product, so parents can have confidence in the quality and effectiveness it offers. It’s ergonomically shaped to allow babies to comfortably lie on their tummy, giving them a more active perspective. Spending just 30 minutes daily on the Crawligator lays the foundation for gross motor skills like rolling, sitting and crawling!

It’s no secret how the Crawligator got its name, just take a look at it! This alligator-shaped friend comes in 7 appealing and in-fashion colors and has a removable padded cushion to cradle your baby’s tender tum. The Crawligator has just enough lift off the ground to glide smoothly as your baby pulls forward, but low enough to keep their little fingers safe from being pinched. The underside features top-quality caster wheels to make sure that sliding forward is a breeze, which ensures parents can set their minds at ease.

Bouncy seats and strollers place babies on their back, in a lying down position, with head, hands and feet towards the sky. This puts a lot of pressure on the back of the baby’s head and can cause a flat spot known as plagiocephaly.  But as infants grow into crawling age, a prone position becomes essential. The Crawligator’s contoured surface provides a comfortable, elevated support, making it easier for babies to push through their arms and focus on lifting their heads.

Crawligator can be purchased at the company’s website, Amazon, Walmart.com and FatBrainToys.com.
