I have written about FlipSize before when I first came across their service and felt a need to review them and let everyone know about them. Since that time, I have used FlipSize again and again. I have also been spreading the word about my FlipSize bliss. So for everyone that keeps asking me, what is the name of that website again……this post is for you. xoxo
FlipSize is an amazing business where you package up your old clothes, shoes, coats etc that your kids have outgrown and then either mail them in, or drop them off to a local FlipSize drop off location. You are awarded points for the clothing items that you drop off. These points then are accessible for you in your account to use to either, buy other up cycled clothing items, or cash out in the form of PayPal cash or other gift cards.
Before you drop off your clothes or order a bag, FlipSize asks that you contact them to ensure that they are in need of what you have. What FlipSize needs is always changing depending on what they receive. To read more about this, check out the FlipSize blog post here.
If you do not live near a FlipSize location, then you need a FlipBag which you order off their website.
The FlipBags are a very hot item and run out of stock quite quickly, so make sure to sign up for the FlipSize Newsletter so that you are among the first to know when the bags are back in stock.
If you are local, then you are lucky as you do not need a FlipBag. You just need to package up your items nicely in a bag with your information in there as well, and then drop the back off at one of the local drop sites.
Are you local to Abbotsford, Coquitlam, Langley, Maple Ridge or Surrey, BC? Drop off your bag at one of our residential drop off locations and earn 100 BONUS POINTS. Email for details.
Here are the cross streets to get a better idea of locations in the Lower Mainland of BC…
Old Clayburn Road and Corbett
Austin Ave and Hickey St
208th St and 88 Ave
232nd St and 132nd Ave
156th St and 96th Ave
Before you pack your bag, make sure to check the FlipSize rules for what they accept and do not accept.
FlipSize only accepts clothes that are in good condition that can then be put on the FlipSize website to be purchased. They do have a strict no duds policy, so make sure the clothes are in good condition still. No holes, tears, pulls, etc. If you send in items that do not meet their quality control, then they get donated.
I accidentally included socks in one of my drop off bags one time and they donated them to charity. I must have gotten my bag sorting a bit mixed up, but I was happy to hear that the items when to the local charity and not just thrown out.
Once you get your points, a shopping you can go. You can turn the points into cash that is paid into your PayPal account, gift cards for places like Toys R Us, Babies R Us, or Amazon. You can also use your points to buy the next size of clothing items for your little one. If you use your points to to buy clothes from FlipSize, you receive extra reward points for using them to buy clothes. So your points go even further if you use them to purchase clothes from the FlipSize website.
FlipSize orders over $99 have free shipping and there is also the option of free local pick up for orders.
FlipSize is an amazing way to turn the clothes that your kids have outgrown into the next size of clothes for them. FlipSize has a wide selection of clothing items, and their stock is always changing as they get new items in. Their clothes sizing runs from newborn to size 12 plus. I have seen items up to kid’s size 14 on there before also.
My Little One is out of their sizing range, so we have not shopped on FlipSize. She is just leaving their top end of available sizes, so we use the drop off services quite a bit.

I love that they’re Canadian. Like you, I’ve used their service before and the attention to detail and quality is equal to what I would do if I was picking them out myself.
