I love that you can get bags and rolls for the FoodSaver. This means that you have the choice to use a pre set size of bag or to use a roll and customize the size that you need. Next on my list is to purchase some FoodSaver containers. I am extremely excited about the fact that FoodSaver now has containers as well.
There are so many features on the FoodSaver V3460 that it makes it extremely simple to use. The air is vacuumed right out as you watch and you can see that it is sealed so that your food stays fresher longer. Check out just how fresh you can keep your food with this FoodSaver GameSaver Commercial. Although this commercial is demonstrating a different model, it uses the same technology as the unit I have.
The FoodSaver® Vacuum Sealing System keeps food fresh up to 5x longer* than ordinary storage methods like zipper bags, foil, plastic wrap and containers.
Air is the enemy of freshness and primary cause of freezer burn and dehydration in foods stored in the freezer, refrigerator and pantry. Ordinary storage methods trap air inside, causing food to lose flavour and nutrition over time. One of the most important things for me is knowing that the FoodSaver bags are BPA Free.
I have no doubt that our FoodSaver will save us money. We will be able to use just the amount of BPA Free FoodSaver packaging from our roll that we need. We also will be able to keep our meat in our freezer longer without pulling it out with ugly freezer burn all over it. I also feel more confident because of the FoodSaver, that I can purchase even more meat when it is on sale now and bring it home, vacuum seal it with my FoodSaver and know it will be fresh when I go to get it. With a family of 5, you can imagine that we go through a lot of meat so any way we can save money makes me very happy.

I do not see anything negative or anything that I do not like about my FoodSaver V3460. I love absolutely everything about it. I suggest you look at all the FoodSaver models as I am sure there is one to suit any needs. There are the 3000 series, 2000 series, Outdoor sealers and HandHeld sealers.
