Over the years, we have reviewed quite a few FruReal Friends and they have always been popular and well loved by my Little One. With her love of FurReal Friends and her love of dragons, Torch My Blazin’ Dragon has been long desired by her.
Torch is an adorable, blue, fire breathing, marshmallow roasting dragon. Okay so Torch doesn’t breathe real fire, but it sure looks like he does. We will get into this more in a moment….

Let’s talk about all the Torch does…
*Torch makes noises that remind me of a baby.
*You know Torch is going into sleep mode because he starts to snore. Did you hear the “awww” there as you read it. So adorable.
*Of course every dragon needs a roar and Torch has a cute child-like roar.
*Torch does not walk but can wiggle his ears, blinks, and his head moves in each direction.
*Torch needs water that is added via the hidden compartment under his horn and with the crystal water vial that he comes with.
*Torch does have a filter and comes with 2 extra filters. It is recommended that you use distilled water and I presume this will extend the filter life.
*The water is needed so Torch can produce the mist that combined with his bright LED light, makes it look like he is breathing fire.
*If you have Torch breathe his fire mist onto the marshmallow on a stick that he comes with, the marshmallow reacts by looking like it is getting toasted. How cool is that!
Here is a video from Hasbro showing what Torch can do…
Okay so the video mentions batteries. Torch needs 4 C batteries and I can understand why. I would think that the mist breathing takes quite a bit of battery power along with the movements at the same time. My tip here would be to get some rechargeable batteries for torch.
Torch is a solid dragon, so he is not a plush stuffie that would be cuddled. Torch is meant more for play and adventure time than cuddle time. Although I have to admit that he entices the cuddles with how adorable he is.
Torch does have chocking hazards with the smaller accessories, so please keep this in mind. I think that the good age ranking is 4 and older although I am sure younger kids would also love Torch, but with the small pieces it is not recommended for any younger.
I personally think that Torch is adorable. He is one of the cutest and most original FurReal Friends. I think that Torch is the type of character that would appeal to both boys and girls, because of his combination of cuteness and fire breathing fury.
My Little One is 9 years old and Torch was a highly sought after item for her. She loves how cute Torch is and all the features that he has.
I have seen Torch around in the local stores and he seems to be a hot item as we approach the holiday shopping season as the supplies keep disappearing quite quickly from what I have seen.
If you have a little one that loves dragons, or loves to engage in imaginative play with an interactive friend, then I recommend checking out FurReal Friends – Torch My Blazin’ Dragon. You can find out more about Torch by visiting Hasbro here…
