We have reviewed a number of Gel-A-Peel products in the past and have had fun with them. The latest Gel-A-Peel product that we have checked out is the Gel-A-Peel Fashion Maker.

The Gel-A-Peel Fashion Maker comes with 5 Gel-A-Peel color tubes which are; pearly lilac, pure gold, pearly plum, sparkle light pink, pearly black. The gel tubes stand up in the Fashion Maker.
Also included…
40 plus design stencils and templates.
Two gel trays that you can make gel clutches with.
Seven designer tips that go on the end of the gel tubes to create different gel effects.
Two squeegee tools and a cleaning tool
Accessory hardware for three clutches and two pairs of earring hooks
The Gel-A-Peel Fashion Maker allows you to make t-shirts, patches, accessories, and jewelry.
We started out with an easy project first…

You can see in the above photo how you use the gel tubes to trace the stencil to make something. We followed the stencil in the color black only, but you can mix it up however you want.
Here are my tips for using Gel-A-Peel…
*Do not try and wash anything. If you make a mistake, let it dry and just peel it off. The gel feels like glue and does not wash off well, but it sure does peel quite easily when dry.
*Let your project dry the full time. I recommend letting it dry overnight.
*Remember to put the plugs back in the end of the gel tubes when done. If you don’t you will have your gel dry out and waste it.
*Let the tips dry after use and then use the tool to clean the gel out. It just peels out when dry.
*If the kids are younger, put a cloth down under the area they are creating in case they make a mess.
*Experiment with the different designer tips so you know the patterns they each create.
*If you artist gets the gell on their hands, let it dry and then rub off and wash hands after. It is easy to get the gel off once dry even on the hands, but difficult to try and wash off when not dry.
It takes a bit of practice to perfect the Gel-A-Peel skill. I find it is like decorating a cake with icing and fancy tips. So the more you practice, the more you can use the fancy tips to their full ability.
Gel-A-Peel Fashion Maker is recommended for ages 8 and older. The younger ages might need a bit of help from an adult. If you want to ensure there is not a gel disaster, I do recommend assisting the younger ages. The older kids will be fine with the Fashion Maker on their own.
There are a number of Gel-A-Peel products and you can grow your collection and gel colors by adding products to your collection.
An awesome thing about Gel-A-Peel is the sets allow for creativity and are really only limited by the user’s imagination.
