A few weeks ago I wrote about Google Assistant and March Break. In that article, I revealed that we recently got a Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL. We have been getting to know our Pixels and exploring them with the help of Family Link which we will discuss another time. 🙂
In the meantime, I want to tell you about how we have not only made our Pixel 2’s express our personalities, but have added a layer of protection to the phone for those oops, I dropped my phone moments!
First off, Google sells a lot of accessories and that includes phone cases. There are no shortages of Google phone case choices for the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The challenge is to narrow your decision down to one phone case. Really though, phone cases accessorize our outfits right, so you can’t just have one! 🙂

When deciding on your Google Artworks Live Case you need to decide if you wish to have Slim Protection or Dual Layer Protection. We have the above case in Slim Protection and the following case in Dual Layer Protection.
So what is the difference between Slim Protection and Dual Layer Protection?
Slim Protection provides coverage for your phone but does not cover the top and bottom edges. The Slim Protection cases are currently $50 with free delivery at the Google Online Store.
The Dual Layer Protection provides coverage all around every edge of the phone. So if that phone slips out of your hand and an edge hits the ground, it will hit the phone case, not the edge of the phone itself.
The Dual Layer Protection cases currently cost $65 at the Google Online Store.
After checking our both the Slim Protection and Dual Layer Protection Google Artworks Live Cases, I am in love with the Dual Layer Protection case. I do not find either case bulky and I really love the extra piece of mind of having all edges of my phone protected with the coverage that the Dual Layer Protection provides.
With having the Slim Protection on my daughters Google Pixel 2, I was a little nervous. It is her very first cell phone ever, and let’s face it, I accidentally drop my phone so there is no doubt in my mind that her Pixel 2 will at some point slip from her hands and tumble to the ground at some point. The solution, and shhhhh because she does not know that I did this for her upcoming birthday…but I ordered her the phone case that she is in love with in the Dual Layer Protection. 🙂
For me, the investment of $65 for the Dual Layer Protection case is more than worth it. Not only does it add character to your phone, but it helps protect it from the inevitable drops and bangs.
Ordering the Google Artworks Live Case online was a breeze and you can drag the art around on the case to have it appear how you want. I thought that was pretty neat. The toughest part of ordering is deciding on just one case. Once that task is done, you just choose the phone you have, Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL and the style you want between Slim Protection or Dual Layer Protection. Then just check out, pay, and wait. In no time we have the new case delivered and it is currently in its hiding place until my Little One’s birthday at the beginning of April.
The Google Artworks Live Cases are gorgeous, appear well made, and appear durable with being made out of TPU and Polycarbonate for the Dual Layer Protection cases and Polycarbonate for the Slim Protection cases. The cases have survived their first drop experiences and provided the needed protection for our phones.
There are a ton of Google phone cases available and there is surely one for every taste and style. To find out more about everything Google, make sure to visit them here…
