From Goliath Games come the hilarious Googly Eyes Game.
Googly Eyes is the hilarious family game that challenges your vision and leaves you googling for more! Put on the zany, vision-altering google eye glasses and start to draw while your team tries to guess what you’re drawing. Is that an igloo or a turtle? A birthday cake or a fortress? Players take turns drawing and guessing, so everyone gets a chance to wear the glasses. The glasses come with three sets of lenses that range from mild changes to mind-blowing fun, so no one can see (or draw) straight–your vision will bounce off of the lenses. Googly Eyes is a fun twist on classic drawing games that lets players of different ages and skill levels compete on equal terms, since the goggles make it fun and challenging for everyone. Unlike any other drawing game you don’t need to be an artist, and the rules are simple. Just roll the die and move–the space you land on tells you which color lenses to use (easy, medium, or hard). Then pick a card, set the timer, and start drawing. If your team guesses correctly you get to roll and move again; if not, then you stay where you are on the board. The first team to reach Finish wins. For 4-16 players, ages 7 and up.

MomMomOnTheGo had one of her testing families put Googly Eyes to the test and this is what they had to say…
The kids were immediately intrigued when they looked at the game, the graphics were appealing on the box and made the kids want to quickly open it up.
Putting the game together was easy. The large glasses inside the game were funny and the kids could easily exchange the lenses in and out.
The instructions were easy to follow, not complicated, and the point of the game was easy to get.
The point of the game is to roll the dice land on a color which indicates the level of the lens you will use to draw an image and the time you are allowed to have to draw it. Players get 15 seconds easy lenses to draw an image of an object, entertainment, or activity and 30/45 seconds as you go to the medium and hard lense.
The game board and pieces were nice bright colors and the supplies provided allow you to play the game multiple times with 4 players. The rules indicate upwards of 12 people, but if the game is played with 12 people, the game supplies would likely be used after one game. (2 Paper notebooks and 2 pencils)
The game is rated for 7 and up. My 6-year-old who is an average to good reader in grade 1, had some challenges with words but could make it through the game with a little assistance
We laughed a lot, it was so funny. Depending on the subject and time allowed and level (distortion of the lens gets harder the more time you have to draw) definitely made things more interesting and fun
I would suggest that more than 8 players would be too much
It’s a game that doesn’t drag on, easy to play while I was cooking dinner with the 4 of us.
Kids wanted to play it again and again.
We did too.
