MomMomOnTheGo recently came across Green Beaver which has an entire lineup of natural products. I am always looking for companies such as Green Beaver as my family uses natural products as mush as possible. I have always had my Little One use natural products so exploring Green Beaver has been an amazing experience.
We put a number of the Green Beaver toothpastes to the test for our first ever Green Beaver adventure.
The first thing that I notice when exploring the Green Beaver lineup of toothpastes was that they have Naturapeutic Toothpastes and Fluoride Free Toothpastes.
New Naturapeutical™ technology with xylitol.
The Green Beaver Naturapeutic toothpastes are contain calcium, papaya extract and xylitol, a natural ingredient derived from birch that helps prevent cavities. This line of Green Beaver products is approved by Health Canada and is the only toothpastes that can plain to prevent cavities without fluoride and the only anticavity kids’ toothpastes that are safe to swallow.
There are currently 5 different Green Beaver Naturapeutic toothpastes:

The Bubble Gum and Strawberry Green Beaver Kids’ toothpastes are very flavourful. They hit the right thing, a great flavour, for little ones as they have to love the taste of the toothpaste if you want to get them brushing. I really like that Green Beaver indicates that the Bubble Gum and Strawberry Green Beaver toothpastes are okay for a toddler to swallow as this is something that I think all of us parents have concern over with our toddlers.
I am not a fun flavor type of person when it comes to toothpastes but if I was, the Bubble Gum and Strawberry would be great picks. Excellent pick for kids.

I don’t think that kids are not in need of extra whitening or any whitening toothpaste. This would definitely be something you would ask your health care professional first. The extra whitening Green Beaver toothpaste appears to be more geared towards adults. It is a nice minty, fresh clean for sure.
I have been testing out so many toothpastes lately that I have not used the extra whitening Green Beaver three times a day for three days yet to test out their claim that it whitens teeth in just three days. I will be putting this to the test though and will update you when I have results.
I would agree that the extra whitening Green Beaver toothpaste helps keep breath fresh. At least in these times with having to wear a mask indoors where we live, I do enjoy the fresh breath. 🙂

One reason that I have looked for natural products such as the Green Beaver toothpastes over the years is that I have wanted to avoid any chemicals or other ingredients that we just do not have to put into our bodies, especially when it comes to my Little One.
Fluoride-free toothpastes catch my eye for me as I grew up in Ontario where they put fluoride in the water and when I moved to British Columbia and went to a dentist here, the first thing they noted was all the extra white blotches I had on my teeth from too much fluoride. I had so many white blotches that the dentist would not do fluoride treatments for years until the white blotches evened out with the rest of my teeth. So I am always trying to find a balance between good products with natural ingredients and still meeting all the recommended health care requirements as indicated by our family doctor and dentist.
If you find a natural product you like, I recommend brining it to your family doctor, or in this case dentist, and getting their input on the products as well. It is always wise to keep your health care professionals in the know on the products you are using.
We do like the Green Beaver lineup of toothpastes. I have a goal of seeing how the extra-whitening toothpaste works as coffee and tea does stain my teeth. I am also interested in trying out the sensitive toothpaste as I used to brush too hard as a child so my gums are receding a wee bit now. If I was to pick one Green Beaver flavour that I really want to try it is the star anise. Star anise is one of my tastes.
