HGTV INVITES CANADIANS TO SHARE
IMAGES OF HOME IN NEW CAMPAIGN
#THISISHOME Campaign LaunchesTORONTO – Home is where the heart is and, this holiday season, HGTV Canada wants to know what home means to viewers. The #ThisIsHome campaign asks Canadians to submit photos and videos of the moments and memories that make their home special.
For Tackle My Reno’s Sebastian Clovis home is the place he’s “forever fixing.” House of Bryan’s Bryan Baeumler’s “home is where the herd is” – a place where he’s surrounded by family. And for Andre Chevigny home is alone time – it’s “where the rest of the Timber Kings aren’t.”
The familiar faces from the HGTV family share their personal photos and meaning of home in the first on-air campaign spot launched. As the campaign continues, fans will have the chance to see their photos featured on the HGTV broadcast. To be eligible, viewers need to follow HGTV Canada on Instagram or Twitter and submit their photos using the campaign hashtag. The on-air promotion will be updated frequently to include images shared by HGTV fans. From the favourite treats baking in the oven to the perfect reading nook to the family dog frolicking in the backyard, there‟s no place like home and HGTV wants to see every aspect that makes it magical.
“For me, home is the perfect setting where my family comes together. It’s a sanctuary – and we all contribute to the look and feel of it. Home is my “me” space and my “we” space,” says Amanda Ploughman, Vice President, Marketing, Shaw Media. “HGTV has been inspiring decisions in Canadian homes for years with its authentic, aspirational, and entertaining programming. With the #ThisIsHome campaign we want the opportunity to engage with our fans and see what they treasure most about their homes.”
Coinciding with #ThisIsHome, HGTV will be available on a free preview to Rogers Digital and Shaw Direct customers from December 1-31, 2014. See local listings for more information.

There are so many photos that I could submit, but really home for me is all about the people I share it with, my family. Here is a picture of my Little One with Santa…..Christmas and my Little One, now that is home!
