MomMomOnTheGo and family from grandparents to Little One are total hockey fans. My Little One loves hockey and has been playing hockey since she was 5. She has been skating since we could first get her on the ice.
Our house looks somewhat like a hockey training center with the garage full of training products that have spilled over to start filling the basement play area. The latest product we have tested out is the HS Slide Board Pro. The HS stands for HockeyShot and if you follow me regularly, then you know that I love HockeyShot.
Before you can become an excellent player, you have to become an excellent skater. The fully adjustable Hockey Slide Board Pro was designed to build the muscles to help you get there. It helps you work on lateral power, agility and endurance so you’re quicker on the ice, quicker to the puck and more valuable to any team you’re on.
22-inch width for full extension on both sides.
Available in both 8’ and 10’ models.
Easily adjusts to any length.
The rubber wedges are angled to ensure correct form on push-offs.
Comfortable foam bumpers for pushing off stoppers.
Easily portable using integrated carry handle, carry bag and storage bungee cord.
Comes with a pair of large Slide Board Booties (size 8-12).
Shipping weight 22 lbs.
Here is what the pros look like using the HS Slide Board Pro.
Here is what you get in the HS Slide Board Pro….
*Slide Board
*Rubber Ends
*Slide Board Ends
*End Fasteners that screw in.
*Strap/Bungee cord for rolling up slide board for easy storage.
*Free items (Ours was a stick handling ball and stick weight, but items vary.)
The HS Slide Board Pro is a breeze to set up and literally only takes minutes. It is super easy to adjust as well, taking only seconds to move the ends around to adapt to the length of stride for the user.
The weighted ends that help secure the HS Slide Board Pro keep the slide board in place no matter what surface you are training on and even when the adults get on and get training on the HS Slide Board Pro.
The HS Slide Board Pro is a ton of fun. My Little One gave it a go the minute I had it set up last night and she was loving it. You can slide away, improving your stride, slide with your stick in hand, and even slide and stick handle so you are working everything.
My Little One does a ton of extra training for hockey. She takes private lessons, does skatemill lessons and honestly they can all add up. I am very impressed with our HS Slide Board Pro and I can see it actually being a wise investment that saves money in the long run as time spent on the HS Slide Board Pro could potentially decrease the need for all the extra skatemill lessons.
I love our HS Slide Board Pro and this is a must have item for the serious hockey player in your house.
Here is a video of us unpacking our HS Slide Board Pro and my Little One getting to know her HS Slide Board Pro last night….
In my video, we have the slide board adjusted to a smaller stride length for my Little One since she is 8 years old. You cannot see the entire slide board as I have it tucked under the couch. The HS Slide Board Pro can be adjusted for any stride length though and was able to handle all our stride lengths in our household.
I highly recommend purchasing Slide Board Polish with your HS Slide Board Pro so you keep it sliding smooth.
