Junior Learning Say My Name Review & Giveaway

April 17, 2013 By MomMomOnTheGo

Junior Learning

There is a new game in our house and it is one of the best games that we have ever played. From Junior Learning comes Say My Name.

The speaking, listening and memory game! Put on a name frame with your mystery card. Ask your friends questions to discover what they are. Use the game board to guide your questioning and work out what you are. The first player to guess their answer wins. Develops speaking, listening, memory and vocabulary. Contains: 4 names frames, game board, 48 object cards, game guide. For 2-4 players. Ages 4+. Pre K – Grade 2.

The Junior Learning Say My Name game has been the most used game ever in our household. It is very simple to play, but the most fun out of a lot of games, and we play a lot of different board games. Say My Name is definitely a winner to our family and well worth the price of the game.

In our house, the game has been tested by my 5 year old, 10 year old, two parents and two grandparents. Everyone has said nothing but amazing things about the Say My Name game. Everyone in our household that has played the game ends up laughing and enjoying themselves.

Say My Name

The goal of Say My Name is to guess what is on the card that you are wearing by asking questions that your opponent answers. Don’t be too hasty and guess what you are right away or you are out. You have to ask good questions to narrow down what your card is showing everyone else. It is a race to see who can ask the right questions the quickest, in order to say what is pictured on the card on the card holder on their head.

Say My Name is great for developing listening skills as well as educational for breaking down the characteristics and qualities of items in order to ask questions. Am I a fruit? Can I smell? Do I have any white on me? Do I wear diapers? Do I have any accessories? You will love seeing the creative questions that your little ones come up with in the hunt to discover who they are.

Say My Name is rated for Pre Kindergarten to Grade 2. I agree with the age ranking for this game. I will say that I have witnessed a couple of 60 something year old grandparents laughing and enjoying the game as well.

The great thing about Say My Name is that a younger crowd can play with each other as there is no reading involved in the game. You might get a little one running to you asking the answer to a question or two, but generally, Say My Name is a game that younger kids can enjoy playing on their own.

The bottom line is that I am so amazed at how simple, yet how much fun Say My Name is. I definitely recommend Say My Name as a game for kids ages 4 to 6 years old and on family game night.
