Learning Resources New Sprouts Serve It Review & Giveaway

Learning Resources New Sprouts Serve It Review & Giveaway

February 9, 2012 By

If you follow my blog then you know that one of my passions is to find great quality items for our children that are fun and encourage creativity, imagination and learning. I feel that I have found all of this in a company called Learning Resource that is the sister company of Educational Insights, whom I love and often work with also.

It is one thing to surround your children with learning resources and toys and another thing if they actually use them. With Learning Resource, the items that I have been able to test out and review are truly items that I believe will get a lot of use by your children. They surely do get a ton of use by my little ones aged almost 5 and 9.

The most recent Learning Resource product that I brought into the house was the New Sprouts Serve It My Very Own Dish Set.

This is not just a dish set. There was obviously a lot of thought about quality and attractiveness to young children that went into this dish set. I say this because of numerous reasons. The dish set is very colorful and visually attractive to my little ones. I love that it is multiple colors and that it is a complete set for four.

I completely love that the products are dishwasher safe because after all, play dishes do get dirty and it is very tiresome to be constantly hand washing play dishes as I have had to do in the past.

Check out these features of the dishes as listed by Learning Resources:

Larger—size dishes to truly fit play food and chunky, easy-to-hold silverware
Enjoy pretend meals, build color identification and encourage role play
Perfect for Pretend & Play® and New Sprouts™ play food
Set of 4 of each dish item and silverware. Plate measures 7″L x 7″W
Super safe: Meets FDA specifications for food use. Dishwasher safe

My little one has a wonderful kitchen that she is always “cooking” in it and pretending to be a restaurant. The kitchen is a name brand and came with only two tiny little plates and a few utensils.

I love that the New Sprouts Set is large enough for my little one to comfortable handle when her pretend food creations are on the plate. She can actually walk from her kitchen to the table and place her magical, food creations on the table in front of you without spilling them on the way.

When my little one first saw the dish set she got big eyes, smiles and let out a little squeal. Ever since they have come out of the box, she has not stop returning to use them in her magical world of recipe creation and restaurant service. She loves to serve us her dinner on her New Sprouts dishes after our family dinner has been finished. Sometimes she is actually serving us her dinner as we are still eating dinner because she has gobbled her meal down in order to get to cooking her meal for us.

I would like to point out that the New Sprouts Serve It set is rated for ages 2-7 years old, but that my 9 year old loves to play with the dishes just as much as my soon to be 5 year old. They can often be found getting along and playing restaurant together which is an awesome sight to see.

Courtesy of Learning Resource one of my lucky USA fans will be the lucky winner of a New Sprouts Serve It dish set. This contest is open to residents of the USA only who are over the age of 18 years old. Contest closes on March 9th, 2012 at 12:01 am EST.
