If you are looking for a resource to help enhance your child’s learning or to supplement them, you can check out Learning Success. Learning Success is quite different than other online learning resources that I have checked out. Learning Success provides the learning resources in an new exercise that is emailed to the user daily.
With Learning Success you receive and unobtrusive daily email that has an exercise for you to download and print out yourself. The you can have your student or child do the exercise with whatever assistance and guidance they require if any.
We have been checking out Learning Success for just over 40 days now and here are a few things I would like to point out…..
I find that they typically provide a lot of exercises each day. It is not unusual for the exercise to be 21 printed pages. Just remember that your child does not need to do all 21 pages. I find that the exercise is generally more that what is needed which to me is better than not enough. What is recommended is about 15 minutes of Learning Success activities a day to help Keep the exercises fun and rewarding.
I recommend that when you have 21 pages, to not plop down the entire package in front of your child. 21 pages of exercises seems overwhelming to me, so it can definitely be overwhelming for a Little One.
I recommend that you make the learning fun and time spent together with your child so that they love the 15 minutes of exercises a day.
I recommend positive reinforcement with marking those that are correct and not the ones they got wrong, if any. Keep focusing on the positive and the work well done.
I recommend doing the work in the same, peaceful environment each time. Mentally this tells your Little One it is time to work.
I recommend stickers and stamps as rewards as theses are things that Little One’s love to get.
Of course the above are just recommendations I formulated based on my perceptions as a mom as I am not a trained educator.
Learning Success has been designed for all students, whether they have a learning disability or just want some fun extra work.
Areas that Learning Success covers are:
Reading
Writing
Math
Dyslexia
Dysgraphia
Dyscalculia
ADD ADHD
Sensory Processing Disorder
I think that my Little One like the exercises that required you to color something in. An example would be the exercise that gets you to differentiate between “b” and “d.” They can color all the “b’s” one color and the “d’s” another color.
The associated cost to Learning Success is $47 a month.
