Journal – a six-ring expandable story journal with 32 pages of written and illustrated material and 32 pages of questions, prompts, and blank pages for kids to fill in. The journal comes in both English and French for the entire Maplelea line, as well as Inuktitut for Saila, the Inuit doll.

The Maplelea Friends series consists of 12 dolls with a wide range of hair, skin, and eye colours to choose from. Maplelea Friends come with their own expandable journal, allowing girls to create their doll’s own story, personality traits, interests, and hobbies. Girls can choose a doll that is just right for them and then, using the story journal, create their own unique Canadian girl doll. Maplelea is a hit in our house. My Little One has her very own Maplelea doll and she loves that it looks like she does. It often earns the honored spot among her Hello Kitty stuffies which if you knew how much my Little One loves Hello Kitty, you would know how much of an honor spot it is to be placed among them.
