PlayDome opens today, March 14th, and runs every day until March 22nd. If you arrive before 11:30 am any day, you will receive the early bird rate and save $5 off your PlayDome pass.
MomMomOnTheGo and crew headed out to PlayDome last night so that we could check it out.
In my PlayDome crew was my Little One, my sister, and my wonderful Media Person, Agnes, from Wildfire Digital Marketing. With my crew, we had ride heights covered and well, every level of daredevil covered. 🙂
Let’s just start by saying that my Little One is 7 and met all the height requirements for all the rides at over 50″ tall. Mix that combination with her daredevil nature and an uncanny endurance for endless rides and you have a recipe for an amazing night out at PlayDome.
My Little One thought that there was a great mixture of rides. With over 45 rides and attractions there is something for everyone. There are a number of rides for the younger kids, but take note that children under 3 are not permitted to ride. There are also a number of rides at the other end of the age spectrum for the more daring riders.
The entire environment within BC Place is set up to feel just like an amusement park with everything that you could need. There are games, food, benches and a few tables with chairs for resting, full restrooms in a number of places, and of course jam packed with rides.
There are a number of things you might want to know before you head to PlayDome…..
*If you just want to attend with your children and not ride, then you can purchase an $8 guest pass. The guest pass will let you go on the Ferris Wheel, Merry Go Round, and Cho-Cho Charlie.
*You are not permitted to bring in outside food or drink. There are a number of booths set up to serve you with great carnival food so you won’t go hungry. Prices are a bit high as is often the case at carnivals. Fries go for $5, drinks $4.75, chicken strips and fries were $12 just to give you a few price points.
*If you purchase a single day DomePass then you can leave the venue and re-enter the same day.
*You can purchase an Ultimate Pass which is good for all 9 days of PlayDome.
*There are no lockers to secure belongings so only bring things you need and are willing to carry.
This is the second year in a row that we have checked out PlayDome and it is definitely something that we look forward to. It is a wonderful day out full of tons of fun. It is the perfect outing for anyone in town during March Break to help make your staycation a ton of fun.
