Here is what we love about Shark Bite:
*Full of suspense
*Easy and quick set up
*Good length of game for younger ones…not too long
*Great for a family night game
*Good game to play with friends
Shark Bite is recommended for kids ages 4 and older and that is probably because of small pieces so keep that in mind. The game description says it can be played with 2 to 4 players, but really, you can play this by yourself. The suspense then changes from, will the shark bite me… to… when will the shark bite me.
I read one review that said that the toy could be made more educational… I am a big fan of educational toys, but not everything needs to be educational. Having said that, parents can play this game and make it educational experience quite easily. You can roll the dice and whatever number of sea creatures you land on, you can specify the color of sea creature(s) your little one is to pick thereby helping them learn their colors. Since the die has only pictures of sea creatures, little ones can also count them out loud after each roll, thereby working on counting and picture/number association. Additionally, the game works on hand-eye coordination when little ones go fishing to pull out their sea creature.
In the end, we thought that Shark Bite was a great game, full of suspense, laughter, and fun.
