Primary Science Mix & Measure Set Review & Giveaway

September 28, 2012 By MomMomOnTheGo

There is no hiding the fact that I love and support companies such as Learning Resources that make educational toys for our youth. I truly have not come across a Learning Resources educational toy, to date that I did not love. More importantly, my children love their educational toys.

I recently got to check out the Learning Resources Primary Science Mix & Measure Set. The Mix & Measure set is one of their new products for 2012.

* Chunky, colorful tools are contoured for little hands

* Scale, bowl, 3 self-standing spoons and 6 unique cup designs help young learners visualize equivalent quantities in different formats

* Activity Cards introduce children to measurement and guide them in making mystery goo, puffy paint, slime and more! Great for the sensory table too

* Bowl measures 4.75”H x 6” in diameter

* Download 5 additional activity cards

* Grades PreK+/Ages 4-7 years old.

My girls love to measure things and make messes. My little one who is 5 likes to do her “experiments.” Her experiments are kitchen ingredients poured, measured, mixed and sometimes even chilled to see how they turn out. She really has a ton of fun when she makes her experiments and she loved doing them with the Primary Science Mix & Measure Set.

My 5 year old also loved using her Mix & Measure set to bake with. She got to back with the Grandmother that she calls “Nanny” while they were here visiting. Measuring, weighing, mixing, baking and all with Nanny, that is a little girl’s definition of heaven.

I truly believe that any time you have measuring containers, a scale, spoons and bowls that make it easy to pour, your kids will be in heaven.

I also love that the Mix & Measure Set comes with activity cards and there are more activity cards available to download on the Learning Resources website. For those times that you want to have an outcome of an experiment other than sprinkles, water, milk, pudding and eggs in your little one’s bowl 🙂 , the activity cards are great. It is wonderful to do a little measuring experiment with my girls where they get to learn something and see results.

I am happy to announce that courtesy of Learning Resources, one lucky MomMomOnTheGo fan is going to be the winner of their very own Primary Science Mix & Measure Set. This giveaway is open to residents of the US who are over the age of 18 and where permitted by local laws to enter and win giveaways. Please familiarize yourself with your local laws.
