I have reviewed products from the popular Project MC2 series before and our last review can be read here: Project MC2
I have a love for the Project MC2 show and products because it not only empowers our young females, but it taps into STEM learning. I think that the Project MC2 products engage the interests of young children and incorporate that into great learning opportunities through engaging and fun products and activities.
We recently checked out the Project MC2 Make Your Own Makeup kit and my Little One excitedly tore the box off and explored the set right away. She is in the picture above at the start of the article focused and engaged in the product and instructions that came along with it.
As seen in the Emmy nominated Netflix original series, Adrienne Attoms’ next mission is to use her cosmetic chemistry skills to formulate the perfect look for saving the world. Now you can perform this same cool S.T.E.A.M. experiment at home using just household ingredients again and again. Pretty brilliant!
Use the included crayons in the Project Mc2 girl’s favorite colors to create your own shades and blends!
Combine with simple household ingredients, coconut oil and any flavorings you want to create your own makeup again and again!
Includes: one lipstick mold, two lipstick cases, one makeup palette mold and case, one crayon color wheel
Coconut oil and flavorings not included
Okay so here is what you need to know about this kit….
*My Little One who is 10 loves mixing, creating, and experimenting so this type of kit is a ton of fun for her. I think if you have a little one who loves these type of things, that they will like the kit.
*The creating can and probably will get messy, but hey, kids love that.
*Kids need assistance and supervision doing the kit because you need to use an oven.
*You need to purchase additional items such as the coconut oil, but that is outlined in the product description.
*The colors are brilliant and vibrant.
*It is great, messy, learning fun.
I think that the Project MC2 Make Your Own Makeup kit is a great project to engage in with your little one. It is rated for ages 6 and older and I agree that 6 and older would be interested in the product, but just realize that they will need your help at certain steps and supervision throughout.
The Project MC2 Make Your Own Makeup kit is available through your local toy store and online with an MSRP of $29.99.
